Excellent kind and courteous service, spaghetti with clams served with chilli and not specified on the menu (personally too strong), medium-high prices, but the food is good. Wine prices average.

"Yes it has been a star restaurant for many years, expectations were high ... unfortunately, for me, they were disrespectful. the location is very beautiful, the view is suggestive (except if you look too low) and the layout of the tables is well studied. the staff of the room is prepared and attentive, the key figures a little less, or better, seem more unwitting than unprepared. the menu is interesting. I find a flaw the lack of a real degotation menu: what is proposed cannot be considered such, since it is an appetizer, first, second and sweet, i.e. a full meal and not a journey among the dishes of the chef. even more absurd is the lack of a wine route in combination. when I asked the staff if there was this possibility I was told that I could choose the wines at the glass and combine them at my liking. the wines to the mesh were 5, of which 2 bubbles. we then opted for a bottle that was served to us in the middle. half only because we stopped and waited for the arrival of the chosen wine. In my opinion there are several things to see. I was brought a chalice that was stoned; I was brought a spoon that was very dirty; the oati dishes for dessert are very ruined. dishes are good, but on 10 dishes only 3 can be considered worthy of a restaurant of this level. others are good, indeed good dishes, but for a normal restaurant, not for a starry. some stances are at least to be reviewed. the prices are high, higher than the ones shown on the site (evidently not updated) but in some cases not justified. the worms at the sea urchins are very good (depending on who ate them) but are simple what justifies a dish from 35€? Just the fact of eating them in that restaurant? Well, I expect that extra from a restaurant like that. good dishes that can give you an emotion, which I have to say happened with desserts: These are starry dishes. also good tooth pies. I leave 3 stars anyway because I didn't eat badly, but, always in my opinion, we are far from what I mean as starry cuisine. Finally, a stunned note that already warned me from the beginning: we booked a month before arrival at the ponza and at the time of booking we were told to call back the same morning of the dinner to confirm our presence. Now, I understand that ponza is an island and so it can happen that due to weather conditions sometimes links are interrupted and consequently reservations can jump, but given the non-different cost that a customer decides to spend to come to eat from you, at least the phone call to ask confirmation you should do it and not us customers!"
