"We stayed at the Chateau and this restaurant was recommended to us by the owner. It is 5 minutes walk and the place was very clean and tidy. The food was good, fairly simple but cooked well. We had children with us and they enjoyed...homemade pizza which was delicious. Recommended wine was very good and reasonable. They served meals from 7pm and the restaurant quickly filled up. We sat inside as smoking is allowed in the partially covered area. Overall a really nice experience."

We arrived late on a Thursday in January, but received as warm a welcome as can be imagined. We chose duck which was simply prepared but perfect, accompanied by a beautiful local wine which we won't forget in a hurry. Recommended.

This is a local charming location mainly visited by the locals . The service is good and English is spoken. Quality of food was more than good and the recommendations for the dinner were excellent. Pricing id more than reasonable and there outside sitting. View menu

I went here for a 70th birthday party last Friday. The host was impeccable, the food apero dinnatoire was so good given that the restaurant does not pretend to be anything but a local. We had such fun purely because of the wonderful owner. Looking forward to going again!

We ate here twice in our week long stay in carcassonne. The owner was super friendly and his English was excellent as well as him being kind enough to entertain our very poor attempts at French. The food is really good and reasonably priced for the area. The wine is excellent and again great value for money. Not that we had kids with us, but it also was a family friendly place. Would definitely recommend.

the natives told us about this place. it's really a place, but we loved it. a person could speak a little English and we all laughed through the order. service was excellent. I had a steak (not a clue, what kind of) with kartoffeln au gratin. my wife had tartar sown with fried potato with garlic butter. I flushed everything with a few cold beers. everything was delicious and served hot. a simple place, but good food. View menu

Excellent food, but not haute cuisine and used by the locals. We visited on a Friday evening and the restaurant was busy mainly with locals, we had Tapas to start followed by entrecôte, which was excellent. This is not a sophisticated place, but the food and the welcome were great. Spanish flavours ( Spanish is also spoken) but served and presented with French flair. Really great place ifyou are looking simple but good cooking.
