"Lassare had been a very good restaurant for generations, like La Grenouille in New York. However, unlike La Greouille, the standards here have fallen to atrocious. Even the flowers on the table were brown. Everyone here has been doing the same thing again and again, yet now it is just perfunctory. Even the macaroni was like a first year newlywed preparation- a bit of a mess and a little burned on the top. You could look at the sole and the sea bass before you tasted it and know it wasn't right. The wine list is terrible and ridiculously priced. A pretentious disaster. Ironically a few of the DRC Burgundies were reasonably priced, if you wanted to spend $4,000 a bottle. Otherwise, the list is lazy and phenomenally over priced, many bottles were twicevthe price of truly great restaurants like Guy Savoy. I had some wonderful nights here forty years ago- even ten. But this is a cynical, lazy tourist trap. They take no pride in what they do. The food is not only without imagination, it is utterly joyless. Even when they open the roof, you will see delapidation of the trellis and dead leaves in July on withered branches. If you want to acquire a silly $3 little saucepan for a thousand dollars during a meal thatblast saw inspiration in thought ( forget execution) decades ago, served by waiters pouring mediocre sauces all the while just counting the days until their retirement (somecare 40), this is the place for you. Warning: even the bug we saw all night on the sheer window curtain didn't go near our food. I told my wife, "I think he knows something.""

you always eat as well in this establishment but the prices are very expensive. the valet is not always pleasant and in fact too much.

My husband booked this restaurant for a surprise anniversary meal whilst we were in Paris. From getting out of the car and walking in to the building, I could tell that was going to be something special. The ambience was perfect, with a lovely piano...More View menu

Beautiful address. the frame is beautiful, the service is present without being heavy. the dishes are of very good quality: beautiful presentation, good products. I recommend this restaurant for all people who want to discover the gastronomy, but also the French service.

not unforgettable, almost too classic. the place is simply magical, with its gardens that would make forget that we are at the bottom of the fields. excellent diner, mastered, precise, impeccable cooking, refined desserts, magical wines. But there's something unbelievable in the plate that gives relief. View menu

We had dinner on Friday, July 21. On arrival, we understand why it is an institution with the "old france" side that we perceive with the lift, the restaurant room and the pianist. We're on a small table under the open ceiling. Certainly the view is not the most pleasant with the crane and scaffolding present at the embassy of Allemagne which is located next to but again one feels good. The menu comes, we leave on the tasting menu with 4 dishes and 2 desserts, then the wine menu with a very wide and quality choice. the sommelier advised us wonderfully and we are feasted on both dishes and wines. The atmosphere is a bit stuck with many strangers but the service of quality, professional and re...

I have spent a total of about 2 weeks in Paris every year for the last 30 years. Lasserre is now my favorite place! Romantic atmosphere - not too big, nice ambience, unobtrusive piano player adding sweet melodies. Service is superb - plenty of staff, very hospitable, smiling faces, always there when you need something, but not annoyingly on top of you. We had the tasting menu - everything was delicious, different, divinely seasoned, perfect portion size. From start to finish, these people know how to do things right. You don't want the evening to end. There are lots of wonderful restaurants in Paris, some with big names and loads of Michelin stars but Lasserre is just the best. They make you...
