"Hats off to the chef who quickly proposed a new dish since there was nothing I liked among those proposed. I was offered very tender aiguellettes de canards accompanied by cooked vegetables and potatoes. We also found the dessert very good, vacherin avec fruits rouges et framboises Good wine from Savoy. "A must-see address on Plagne 1800. A tasty menu, generous dishes and a warm atmosphere at the corner of the fire. Their specialties? The meat cooked with fire, fondues, raclette and good mood. Fortunately their opening on Sunday noon and Sunday evening saves Plagne 1800, because without them you will not be able to eat anywhere else on Sunday noon."

"This restaurant never fails to please, especially in good weather when one can sit outside, it is tucked away from the hurly burly of La Plagne but is worth a detour. The dish of the day is usually excellent. We have been coming here for 4 years and the food and service have never disappointed well worth a detour."

"For those that know, a visit to this restaurant the other side of the valley from La Plagne is the perfect end to an off piste run from l'Arpette above Belle Plagne down to either Sangot or Macôt. You have to get a taxi up to the restaurant & back (or have a friendly non-skier driving!). This adds to the cost but this cuisine is well worth it. Jean-Pierre the owner and chef is a great host and will help you select a wine to suit the food. None of this will break the bank; this is not ordinary food at a high price; this is great food at a reasonable price. Jean-Pierre is a well known chef, teaches culinary courses and has had a cooking show on regional TV. He has a full repertoire of imaginative and innovative techniques. Both he & his wife Annie are very friendly & take great pride in their lovely auberge. The views are tremendous."
