"Met our Yorkshire friends for our Annual meet up and were provided with a lovely round window table. It was a cool Wednesday afternoon in Skipton, also Market day, and whereas in the past Restaurant always been busy, this time quite quiet. To our advantage...as we received excellent personal service. Great menu, as ever, My wife had a fish pie, which she thought was amongst the best ever, I was not so hungry and had a delicious Black Pudding stack with fries. With drinks, the bill was a reasonable £40(with service) Great Restaurant whatever the occasion; Highly recommended"

I'm writing this two weeks after my visit and I can't actually remember what I had! My table was opposite a poster with a number of Metro stations on it and there was a French theme to the whole place. Just a shame I can't...remember what I had!

we needed a quick lunch in skipton and wow. French wows suppbele and skallops, to quickly followed by muscles and money bags. delicious, just what we needed. the waitress or waitress was very friendly and attentive. thank you. we will be coming back

came around 6.30 with my partner, we were greeted by the very friendly staff who gave us enough attention and felt special. eating was amazing, every bite was for dying, and large portions, so the money is absolutely worth it. can not. eat here again.

I ate here. the French woof soup was very good. it is a court that I love in france, but is often disappointed in Britain, so it is for me a bauch together for good French cuisine. beautiful decoration and atmosphere and also good service. highly recommended.

A large family group 18 of us in fact, ate here last week. Seated around three large tables downstairs, the food and service were exceptional! We ordered on the evening from an extensive menu and were served promptly and efficiently with food that was...hot, promptly served and very well presented. It tasted wonderful too! Well done to the staff and owners of this gem of a restaurant!

We were a party five dining on a Saturday evening. The restaurant consists of a variety of table types and seating types making the venue different, chic and inviting. the atmosphere was excellent. The starters were all amazing, particularly the pate, and the mains delivered...the same wow factor. The head chef is but 26 and she knows her craft well. Everything was delicious and the service spot on

Had my 70th birthday celebration upstairs in the mezzanine which made it extra special. The food was amazing. Everyone commented on how delicious it was. 3 people had the mussels and were astounded how many they got! I had the steak which was wonderful and...cooked exactly to my taste. The French onion soup is really to be recommended. We all had a wonderful evening. The service was excellent and the staff were really friendly. I've been there a few times in the past and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

We keep coming back to le bistro but the last two times have been a very expensive let down. The scallops were swimming in oil and the bread was certainly not fresh. I had the beef dinner, the beef and gravy were OK but the...roast potoates and the Yorkshire pudding had clearly been left out for a long time and reheated. The staff were lovely, just seems that standards have slipped when it comes to food. I had the best fish meal here a couple of years ago I hope they can return to the fantastic food they used to do soon! At least the dog was well fed!
