I just called in for a quick drink in this friendly bar where the bar staff were all wearing berets. The staff smiled and chatted. I'd go again if I was in the area.

Great wee bar for quenching your thirst in the evening - great atmosphere - after a day of walking and sightseeing. However, popped in for a bite to eat during the day and have to say the food is pretty standard bar fare. However, would definitely go back for drinks.

This was really more like a bar but they did seem to serve food there. We just dropped in for dessert and it did seem to take forever to serve us BUT it was one of the best creme brules ever. That is all I can recommend - dessert. It was close to our hotel so maybe don't seek it out unless you are in the area View menu

I went there with my friends a friday evening recently and the boss of the Bistrot des Galopins was very dishonnest. Maybe he thought I was drunk because he wanted me to pay 10 euro more than I had to pay. When I proved him that he was wrong and that the real price I had to pay was 25 € and not 35€, he got very angry and told me to never come back in his bar. I felt very worry about this man. I recommend not to go there as they try to take a maximum of your monney !

We came to eat there because we heard it was affordable: 13€ for the main dish + a dessert. I chose the steak tartare, which was really good but the burger that my borther had was pretty disapointing: too basic and the steak was a bit dry. Plus, we had to wait one hour to be served while 2 people who arrived after us received their dishes before... For the dessert, we all took the creme brulée which was very good. The restaurant itself was nice and friendly, it looked like a typical small "French bistrot".

This place has obvioulsy been taken over by people who don't have mush experience in the restaurant business.If our evening wasn't a disaster, I see no reason to rush back to this place.There is a happy hour but even that needs a lot of work. My 'Long Island' didn't seem to have any alcohol ( as so often in Paris ) but A LOT of ice ( as so often everywhere) and my partner's pint of decent beer was at 7€ ( down from a whopping 9€...we hadn't noticed this stupidly, until we had to pay).Our burgers seemed to take forever to be cooked.When they did arrive, they were...OK.
