"We enjoyed the meal here. We were on the last night of the holiday, preparing for the journey back to England the following day. The food was well-cooked and well-presented. Unusually I had fish, and even more unusually, enjoyed it. I even had a dessert, profiteroles, some of the best I have had. The wine was fairly ordinary. This is a pleasant bistrot in the middle of a beach that is more a reminder of Skegness than Nice. It was very busy though, on one of the hottest days of the year."

Just eat a delicious Moule marinière and my husband had a Plateau de fruits de mer! It's amazing. In any case you recommend seeing for yourself!

Walked in for a mid-week lunch after a walk along the promenade. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, good customer service. We had 'Menu du midi en semaine ' (main dessert) for 12.90 eur per person and a bottle of white wine. Everything was good.

Food and location on teh beach were great. The owner was great at making 2 maericans feel at home that spoke no french. Guided us to two great menu choices and the service throughout the meal was excellent. It was late on Sunday night when we were leaivng and I asked to buy a bottle of water (non in the hotel room) whihc he did but refused to charge us for teh 2 liter bottle he provided.

We fell in here on a wet Friday night. We asked you open, said yes, but Koch wouldn't be here until 7.00. We had a drink and only when we looked at the menu we knew it was not open until 7.00. The meal was nice, my husband went for the fixed price menu at 25 euros and I had the Boullibaise. The waiters were so friendly that everything was fine that we enjoyed the wine we had ordered as well as the meal. I would recommend it to everyone

Friendly service, good food. We went to dinner and were lucky to get a table outside because it was a nice, warm evening. Service was fast and friendly. The food was good. Adults had shells. Children had burgers. Our children are creepy, so we always have to remember asking the waiter on a simple burger with no sauce. The chocolate cake was excellent. Together with many restaurants on the Dunkirk/ Malo Promenade, they had no customer Wi-Fi.

Like other reviewers I arrived on a Sunday evening mid September with no booking for this busy restaurant. surprisingly busy for a Sunday evening out of season. Clearly popular local restaurant. I had a wonderful bouillabaisse, lovely glass of wine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable, other local guests were friendly and chatted to me in English and French. Had a surprisingly pleasant evening after a very long drive from Berlin.

Walked in the rain from our hotel, soon after arrival in Dunkirk. Very welcoming. Good range of food. We both chose the 'Plateau de fruits de mer.' Half a dozen oysters, whelks, large shrimps and half a crab. Chose the house MuscadetFor dessert I had a Mystère ice cream (meringue surrounded by vanilla ice cream covered in toasted nuts) flambéed with Cointreau, and my other half of chose the Ile Flottante.Very good service. Just the place to eat after travelling from England
