"Reveil of the Day of the Year 2024 at Castel de Verlieu with family. Warm welcome in a festive atmosphere with the famous Mister Dji. Patron and friendly staff and especially listening. Mouth with welcome cocktail. Perigourdine entrance with excellent foie gras or a very fragrant lobster. A perfect cooked half-loan dish or a generous piece of sauce deer, served with a triple fragrant truffle purée, fresh peas, green beans and greedy peas and gratined vegetable medallion. Then board of 4 local cheeses or white cheese accompanied by a red fruit coulis, cream and sugar. A dessert shaped like a snowball in the heart of exotic fruits or a white Christmas tree garnished with chocolate. A cup of champagne served for Minuit. Evening with song atmosphere by Mister Dji or karaoke with a very good participation of guests and dances. Very good evening with a quality meal. I strongly recommend this restaurant."

Home cooking, thank you for taking the time to treat us with your good product and kindness. The service is very appreciable and the gentleman and a kindness and kindness that unfortunately does not exist almost in the middle and I know what I'm talking about I'm a waitress in the restoration. "Restaurant was recommended to us, we arrived around opening time (19.00 h.) at the restaurant and needed to wait a bit. After about a quarter of an hour we were seated at a table outside on the terras near the restaurant entrance-door (we were offered no choice) without a view. So we didn’t see the spectacular view as described.Looking at the menu we chose the menu TER ou MER ( 22 euro ), with red house wine (côtes du Rhone).Le Presse au poisson au caviar de courgette with crumbled olive and parmesanThe dish looked great but was highly disappointing. The flavor very flat, not well seasoned , the crumbled part was hardly recognizable in taste.Melon au Porto dans tous son etatsThe melon (Cantaloupe) was good, with smoked ham and cream with porto.As main course we chose L’idée du chef’, which was veal. The meat , not seasoned at all, cooked ok, with as side dish pommes de terre gratinées and tomatoes with rosemarinFor dessert we chose the Charlotte. It was served in a glass, like a trifle.Biscuit (or cake?) was the first layer, then abricote compote and on top vanilla-bavarois. For us it was not a traditional charlotte with again a very flat taste, except for the apricots, which were delicious.Conclusion: very average food, glad we didn’t take the more expensive 40 euro menuThe waiter was very friendly, the spectacular view we only saw on the parking lot, but it would definitely not have made up for the dinner."
