Very friendly welcome by a very atypical establishment boss! Copious breakfasts with fresh bread and chocolate bread from the bakery. Tasty evening meal, very generous as the boss...Night in peace, not a noise, it was very pleasant!

The owner informs us at 7 p.m. that all rooms are taken despite a 3-week reservation in advance. I strongly recommend to anyone passing or living on Château Chinon to discover this magnificent hotel! This restaurant hotel is for me a great discovery in this department of Nièvre that I love so much. The hotel is charming, traditional, full of history and its owner is a very interesting person who has the love to welcome his guests. The evening meal is amazing and very hearty and breakfast is served with fresh food and also garnished. Thank you for your stay.

The hotel cancelled our reservation on the same day at 5:45 p.m. (and obviously three other people say so) because customers wanted to extend their stays. In the face of our dissatisfaction, we were simply advised to stay in another hotel (at a much higher and last-minute rate thanks to a cancellation), to call social samu or to go to the presbytery. No action was taken by the merchant to apologize for his gesture. In addition, the manager knows bike travelers in search of the cheapest room and obviously has a tooth against them.
