"It was a very quiet Tuesday evening in Montauban, which was doing a good impression of a ghost town.Lupulus looks pretty funky, has a huge selection of Belgian beers and had a passable if not extensive sounding menu.My comments would be that the tapas are poor. A bit of (tasty mind you) cheese, a bit of ham, a pile of cheap tasteless tortilla chips two small skewers of some kind of meat in a BBQ sauce and some deep fried potato product that looked like one of those churro things. Not my idea of tapas even for 6.50 euros. The house local wine was passable - not good but drinkable and at 5euros for 50cl it would be churlish to grumble much. The pizza (tartiflette) had mixed reviews from each of us. I quite liked it though the bacon lardons were barely cooked and it was certainly tasty enough and filling. At 12 euros for the pizza we weren't exactly being robbed. As there was nobody in any restaurants, it would be harsh to judge it's ambience. All in all, very average but it won't hurt your wallet."
