"My friend and I visited Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast on Sunday morning. We knew the brand as there are some of these restaurants in London, so we thought we would let them go. The staff was very nice and friendly and they spoke English. The food was good and the menu was clearly marked with vegetarian vegan options. The main option to improve would be to add more vegan options that would definitely bring more customers. Positive experience overall and will definitely return."

Delicious birchermuesli, served with smooth black coffee in a nostalgic bowl. What a nice way to start my long day.

I came for takeout before a train and was pleasantly surprised. Good fast service. Delicious quiche. I'd definitely go again

Nice place for breakfast or brunch. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambience was warm and cozy. They had a good selection of pastries and coffee. Great location near the train station and in the lobby of Hotel Continental.

You can find excellently opposite Lausanne Gare (train station). Very unique, delicious gluten-free bread!! So great to finally have a sandwich after a week of travel. All ingredients used are organic, very fresh. I want to have breakfast tomorrow.

I don't know about the rest, but the piece of apple pie was overcooked, sugary and burnt under. A really bad deal for a hefty price which had made me expect something special. Despite the rather friendly service, the place was so noisy that I literally had to run away from there not to wake my baby. Not my daily bread.

they have now significantly improved their vegan selection: avocado tartine (on brot,) grilled vegetables tartine, daily suppe, hummus, guacamole, tabbouleh and two desserts. so they get a very nice selection of things to eat, although most are cold. this special outlet is located very centrally directly opposite the main railway station.

Compared to the le pain quotidiens in france, this branch has a bad choice of vegan plates. since it has been open since morning, I visited the breakfast; but the only vegan choice was brot or obstsalat. in the rest of the menu there were some vegan teller (corrected.) the personal was friendly and the service was good. the location is great to be in front of the main station (exception is available;) but if I had the time, I would probably try to go somewhere else.

"Au Charbon is family managed restaurant, set in a pleasant and quiet part of Lausanne, easily reached on the bus, if like me, you are touring. The restaurant is ‘cosy’ and the owners have maximised the number of seats available, which sounds like me...spinning a cramped venue but it actually works out okay. We had sufficient room to relax and eat without imposing on our neighbouring tables, so the efficient spacing added to the atmosphere and the wine waiter added character. The restaurant has a traditional pizzeria menu with no surprises with the choice of pizza, steaks etc. All our choices were well presented, cooked exactly to request and delicious. Portion sizes were just right too On the down side, the table service was very slow, it took around an hour for the first course and one dish was wrong when it eventually arrived but we put that down to being busy. The lady serving was also a bit too presumptuous that the change from the bill would be her tip and she didn’t return the change, eventually coming back to confirm if this was so. In summary, I enjoyed my meal and time at Au Charbon, they seem to have earned their reputation from being consistent in serving nicely presented dishes that are cooked well. The higher end options are a bit on the pricey side if you are on holiday, especially when considering this is a pizzeria (a steak costing CHF). However most restaurants of this type in Lausanne are similarly priced and it is what it is."
