"We were staying at the Hotel Vue De la Rance which sat on a hill overlooking the river towards le Saint Patrick. We arrived too early to sign in so looked for a place to eat and Saint Patrick hit the spot. It is renowned for its fish chips and mushy peas every 'Englishmans ' or should I say 'English persons ' dream after 5 weeks in France. It was a lovely traditional restaurant by the river with good service and I 'm afraid we did give into rather large desserts to finish. Really hearty food a great finish to our french holiday before returning on the ferry. A place we would happily return to!!!"

Authentic Iris pub serving great basic English food. Cheap as chips, well fish, chip mushy peas is the main dish Welcomed us inside at short notice with dog in toe. Nice spot by river.

I rarely had such a bad experience with simple street food. Fish and chips, how difficult is this? Just need fresh decent fish , fresh chips and good quality oil. Here everything is wrong, fried fish felt like it was from yesterday serving, dry and tasteless, chips were soggy and undercooked. At the end only beer made it to par. Such a shame when good quality fish is available all over the area.

We booked for lunch. the server/patron placed us at a table where it was difficult to escape because of space. the view is however very pleasant. the pub offers pizzas, fish and chips, calamars fries and intercoasts. No more ribs. fried or pizza on the menu of this noon. We ordered fish and chips. an effective service and a generous plate, however when I asked for a little salad. It's a break. too! It wasn't, the fries at home, I still find it regrettable, it really makes the difference. Best dessert. a very reasonable addition.
