"If you find yourself in Rouen at lunch time,and were hoping to visit the wrought iron museum, you will find it does not open until 2 pm. So in the meantime, very close by on the Place 19April 1944 is this very nice bistro. You can sit outside along the cafe that faces the square with no vehicular traffic. We had a very nice table under a tree for some shade and enjoyed two more than generous salads, one with tuna and another with bits of delicious baked ham. The croque monsieurs and madames( the difference being a fried egg on top of the toasted ham and cheese) seemed to be a favorite with the locals. They did look appetizing, accompanied with a small salad and fries. The prices were on the reasonable side with a selection of good wellpriced wines."

We always end up here when in Rouen. In summer love sitting outside and in winter indoors, where it's cosy and buzzing with lovely frenchness . Food is O.K. too. It is our place and we love it.

Marvellous all fresco lunch at this centrally based restaurant. Beautiful city with an amazing cathedral. Food and service at the restaurant were very good and enjoyed by us all. Pasta dishes as they should be presented and delicious fish and salads too. Would definitely visit again.
