"Just came out of that bar a vins. Judging from the reviews, we were honestly expecting something else. The experience was less than average. The wine (freezing cold saint Nicolas de Bourgueil was probably worth less than a fiver, and the cheese and charcuterie platter...came straight from a supermarket. So, please avoid that place, unless what you are only after is a beer on a nice terrace overlooking the port. Great spot right on the Quay. Lively atmosphere. We had the oysters and they were first class. A little dear but normal for the island I think.

great position at the kai; simple but good blows of meat, cheese or fish, and utter, along with good weeping and gloomy. a popular place for lunch

to the harbour, its a completely different feeling from the main village. that is pure tourism area. beautiful to see how people are ready and gone for a ride on their boats. still very busy, but all French.

This place is not a formal restaurant but very pleasant for a short pause. After a long bike circuit we had a stay at this place. Food was excellent : oysters, foie gras, large salad with Ré Island wine. I recommend this place.

we wheeled after ars of St-Martin at nice weather and were thrilled to find an empty front table at this big little weinoase with view of the harbour. the service was particularly charming and we were so glad to find something for my vegetarian partner......not simply on an island dedicated to seafood! The Caesar Salad (minus huhn) was really, really good. and my with chickens and anchovy was fabulous. and the local wein il de re was highly recommended. View menu

We visited here for the day, as we were staying in La Rochelle. We parked the car in the main square and wandered down to the quay side. It was a beautiful sunny day with a handful of eateries open for business. We chose this...one as the menu looked appealing. We both had a salad, and a glass of Rose. About €40 all up. Wait staff were attentive and efficient. One being the owner who was buzzing around with a smile on his face. Many outdoor tables to enjoy the sun and people passing by.

I went here directed by my host in order to buy one of their selected wine, and I finally stayed to enjoy a white wine glass with some delicious slices of pork sausage. I then discovered that the place serves a delicious breakfast in the...early morning (I like to walk in the streets at first light) and was surprised to share this moment with many locals and celebrities who own residences in the beautiful Ars en Ré and appreciate the place just before the crowd arrives. Great service and fine food. Thank you.
