"Me and my husband are regular customers of Leger Lakes and feel so lucky that it is on our doorstep. We recommend this place unreservedly. Nestled on the outskirts of the lovely village of Laughton-en-le-Morthen, which lies between Thurcroft and Dinnington in South Yorkshire, Leger Lakes is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys top class food, served by friendly, professional staff, in a wonderful location. Catering for all tastes and diets this establishment takes pride in its fresh, varied and creative menu. From amazing cakes and pastries, wholesome breakfasts, afternoon teas, Sunday lunches and now special themed nights, the variety is endless. Nothing is too much trouble for Jayne and her staff. During the present Covid-19 restrictions, every care is being taken to follow the strict guidelines and the latest outside installation (see photos), enables friends and family to meet up and eat together in style and comfort. Leger Lakes also has fishing lakes for the anglers amongst us, which have pods for overnight fishing and with the eatery just a walk away, food can be delivered to the pods. See Leger Lakes own Facebook pages for more information on the tearoom and fishing (Leger Lakes Tearoom) and (Leger Lakes). Leger Lakes Tearoom is dog friendly and with miles of beautiful countryside, loads of public footpaths and a place frequented by keen cyclists, is a paradise for getting close to nature and exercise during these troubled times. The walk down to Roach Abbey, through the magnificent Kings Wood is an absolute delight and the thought of a gem of a tearoom either before, after or at both ends of the walk is a big bonus. The site has horses, donkeys and various other animals within its grounds and this just adds to the unique ambiance of the whole experience. A large car park makes it easy for those not on foot and it is easy to access on the road between Laughton-en-le-Morthen and Firbeck."

Took my mum for afternoon tea on Thursday and all I can say it was absolutely beautiful. The sandwiches were all fresh and the sausage rolls were the best I’ve had. With cream scones and cake to finish it was perfect. With my little doggy bag I left with the notion I will be going back to this little gem

Before lockdown we loved going to Leger Lakes every week for our Sunday lunch. We are still coming every week as they offer a fantastic takeaway service too!Jayne and her lovely staff are so friendly and you can be guaranteed whatever you order is going to be home made and delicious!Jayne makes gourmet Bailey’s truffles which are simply the best! The sherry trifle and syrup sponge and homemade vanilla custard are amazing also!

Leger Lakes Tearoom has recently added a covered outside heated seating area, where friends and family can meet up while complying with the new COVID-19 rules. Leger Lakes Tearoom serve freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and a full range of drinks and all dietary requirements are catered for. Jayne and her staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There are also well stocked fishing lakes with pods for overnight fishing as well. Definitely worth a visit!

"I was well impressed with this restaurant. I usually eat at F&B..and I really quick understand the differences between food and taste, between restaurants. I know also what is the standard for F&B. Bad service you keep to remember and will not make you a returning customer. This is the only restaurant in a 100 miles radius I never complained or my food was never raw. I also appreciated on my last visit a lady who was cleaning she looked more from management as she didn’t had an uniform, setting a good example in cleaning for her employees and customers by cleaning tables very thoroughly, all the spots covered. Well impressed by that especially as I work with Covid patients and I know how important is to be infectious free. The separation areas they build are important as well. The lady who was cleaning I didn’t manage to see her badge as she is a fast walker but she had a colourful mask , the only one who was actually wearing one and yes I know you can choose if you want to wear them but still for me was important as she was trying to protect others in a close environment with covid roaming around everywhere. I held myself for over 2 weeks to write this review as I was to busy but like I said I will be a returning customer.Kudos to her ! Kudos to all managers who are setting the bar high and lead by example! I eat here roughly every 2 weeks and I’m always very well treated. My favourite restaurant, if 10 stars were to be available, 10 stars from me! From the 3 restaurants that Sheffield has, this is by far the best one! Keep it up, guys!"
