"I had a cod dish with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, which was good, and a glass of white wine. The service was very good. I was looking forward to dining at the restaurant based on the reviews. I was seated outside the evening was nice. The ambiance outdoors is basic at best. The surroundings are next to a building with old posters, and some of the tables are on artificial grass. The ambiance detracted from my experience. I wanted to like l'Envie more than I did but, because of the ambiance for outdoor dining, I wanted to leave as soon as I had eaten rather than linger and have another glass of wine. I regret writing this negative review. Please note it is about the ambiance outdoors, not about the service or the food."

L’Envie gave us a wonderful experience, from the creative and tasty dishes, the friendly and attentive service, and the unique, cozy and intimate grotto-like setting in the basement of the building. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic culinary experience in Aix-en-Provence.
