Les Fontaines Tavern

This restaurant is a stunning place that makes quite an impression as soon as you enter. However, it does come with some drawbacks.

Such a lovely place for meals and afternoon teas. Very clean and tidy. You can eat outside with magical views of the sea. Definitely will be going again.

kitchen simply closed when we arrived for a bite that waitress went to ask cook when cooked eating was poss, and they served us warm eating and drinking, had a nice time, staff were more than helpful. that is a service with a smile View menu

The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Be prepared for generous portions of outstanding dishes. We began with the prawn cocktail, which was massive. The steak and mushrooms were delicious, and the pork was among the best I’ve had in a long time. We only had room to share a large square cake for dessert.

The food was ok altho a lady complained about the chips after she had had the plate of food for half an hour. I thought the chips were good. The service was just right ... Not too much or too little attention. The atmosphere was ok except there was a strange patron there singing like a mermaid or siren loudly to her grand child. A bit off putting! Price seemed a little high for pub grub but I guess this is the case everywhere.

The food selection was excellent and reasonably priced. I chose the fritto misto from the specials board, which I had never tried before but will definitely order again—it was fantastic! The dish included baked scampi, crispy calamari, succulent king prawns, cod filet, fries, tartar sauce, and aioli. The batter on the fish was delightful and crisp, to the point where you could hear it crackling as you bit into it! My partner had the half fry with chips and was equally impressed.
