"The hotel is very well located, in a village near Strasbourg, pleasant, rich in quality restaurants and close to a beautiful river (the Ill). The decoration is both traditional, comfortable and cheerful, and the friendly and attentive welcome. The restaurant is exceptional: I just asked for a dish and had the chance to enjoy instead a wonderful dinner. Cuisine at the same time very fine and greedy (which is rare), offered and served by a staff of exceptional skill, kindness and quality of hospitality. So what was a simple step was transformed into a gourmet meal and memorable moment. Thank you and brave the talented leader and the whole team! The rooms are spacious, and of a very good value price, but only small flat, the decoration of mine would be a little refreshed. I left with the desire to come back!"

"we are so grateful for sarah in au crocodile that they recommend this place for our last night in Alsace. we started with some of the local (and very cheap weine to go with our appetizer a tarte flambé with mushrooms. before it was served, the cook(? brought us an amuse bouche from a rich mushroom veloute, with mushrooms, roasted chestnuts and some sweet perhaps sweet potato? in any case it was absolutely delicious, and a wonderful opportunity to begin our meal. next, the tarte flambé was impossible to get thin and crisp crust with a light char, with a perfect balance of creamfraiche, lardons, swirling and mushrooms. next my man chose the bouchée as recommended by sarah while I had the venison. both courts have been carefully executed and beautifully presented. his with a substantially but tender bäck in a rich sauce with calf and generous champignons, served with linguini, which seemed uncongruent for me until I had a bit of all the aromen and textures together perfect and my with 3 slices of delicate and tasteful venison served on a rich soaked, and besides nutty, the star of the plate for me was the extraordinary sweet potato puree, incredibly silky and tasteful, with hints of vanilla and muskatnuss I would be very happy to have a great bowl of him now! for dessert we shared melted chocolate cake, which was delicious, and profiterole in mini ice cream “sandwiches”, served with a deep and not excessively sweet hot chocolate sauce over it. a perfect end to a fantastic meal! myriam and the whole staff were generous and friendly, walk through the menu patient, always with a laugh or smile, although the restaurant is fully packed. next time we will find ourselves in any case (and make our reservation in advance! we are here."

"Avons déjeuner en famille un dimanche midi en terrasse. Terrasse agréable. Les tables ne sont pas trop serrées. Malheureusement nous avons été douchés par un gros orage assez imprévisible et avons du déménager à l'intérieur du restaurant en catastrophe avant le plat principal. Le charme a été rompu ... Toutefois avons pu gouter les plats. La cuisine est généreuse et gouteuse. Le chef cède toutefois à la mode de décorer les assiettes avec multitude de légumes et de fleurs. Avec plus ou moins de bonheur. Mais cela ne cède toutefois rien au goût des plats . Le service est un peu faible...mais par les temps qui courent cela est assez général dans la profession. Toutefois l'ensemble m'apparait sérieux."
