"When I am in Trento and have the opportunity/time I never fail to make the drive to Brez to visit this Locanda it 's not as far as it seems, less than an hour and you are there. The dinner was brilliant, again. Two very elegant dishes of salt cod, a starter and a main, were a novelty and perhaps the standout pieces of the evening. Cooked and prepared very delicately, but with bags of mediterranean flavours to go with them: capers, taggiasche olives, fresh peas, super olive oil... Not less satisfying were tagliolini with a sort of ragout of freshwater fish (pike? , very intense, and the other main was the lamb, which we almost always have so much we like it. To finish on a high note, Piedmont hazelnut (the best parfait and an almond 'tartelletta ' ', both of them shining for the excellent ingredients (aside from the nuts, Valrhona chocolate... . Service is lovely and professional, and considering the quality prices are lovely too!"

My wife and I had our wedding anniversary dinner while traveling in Italy and cannot say enough about the wonderful service and delightful culinary experience we had at this restaurant. During our 10-week trip in Italy this was by far one of our favorite places. We cannot wait for the opportunity to go back!

This place continues to deliver high quality cuisine, soundly based on tradition but refined and elegantly presented. On my last visit, potato gnocchi with a cheese cream were a standout dish, but also two desserts, one of chocolate with a passion fruit sauce, the other a tiramisu sphere , were remarkable for quality of ingredients and execution. The room is bright and warm, prices are not high for the quality. When the restaurant is full service can be a little slow, with lapses of attention.

Another perfect dinner at this Locanda (see my previous reviews). Standouts this time were a 'creme caramel ' with fresh local mushrooms and sweetbreads, a pig cheek braised in beer (incredibly deep flavour), and a pistachio ice-cream. But also delicious were torlelloni (well) filled with local herbs and confit cherry tomatoes, a Guinea fowl with recurrant and a cream of celeriac, and the evergreen chocolate and coffee dessert. It 's hard to think of another place in the region that so well tells the story of tradition and locla ingredients, but that at the same time has embraced modernity. The room is charming as ever, service led by signor Danilo in the room is excellent, and both food and...

It is always a pleasure when the Chef uses seasonal fresh ingredients. And she 's certainly able create magnificent dishes with anything she can get hold off. This will be my must stop every time I 'm in this area. Lucky for me, my work brings in the vicinity on a regular basis. I 've been there twice now and am already recognized and welcomed like a local. Every single dish I had was sensational. They deserve two Michelin stars in my opinion. The service has it all, too. The wine list has a drop for every taste and the coffee is exactly how it should be flavourful and creamy. Not to forget, yummy homemade breadrolls a rare thing nowadays I recommend that anyone visiting the Non Valley takes...

I visit the Trento area a lot, and in my view Locanda Alpina currently offers the best quality for money around. Many dishes and nibbles are at the same level as at the Michelin starred restaurants in the province. Flavours are full and dishes firmly in traditional territory, but suitably modernised and lightened. In the asparagus season two very different starters of this local delicacy were lovely, a sharp but delicate salad of white asparagus with other leaves, and a tart of green one. The lamb in crust was good as usual, and a guinea fowl stuffed with artichokes was superbly cooked, moist inside and golden outside. Desserts were strong: a chocolate and coffee that it's impossible not to...

We stayed in the tiny village of Brez and went to this restaurant on our first night of 3. We had booked an apartment with a kitchen, planning to mostly cook our own meals, but this place was so good we went back for a second night on our last night. Not only was the food delicious, but the prices were very reasonable despite the fairly remote location. Our waiter was also very friendly and helpful despite my limited Italian. I think the second night they were a little short staffed as the restaurant was a little busier and our meals did take a while to come out. However they were so good and the atmosphere was so pleasant that we didn't mind the wait. We were even given an extra glass of wi...
