"We were staying at the sister hotel ‘Les Vikings’ across the road that is owned by the same family. We pre booked a table in the Bistro for the last day of our holiday. When we arrived at 7.15pm, as arranged, we were the first people inside the bistro with one couple on the veranda. Our order was taken quite quickly fish casserole and grilled cod and we were given a small pot of olives but by 8.15pm we had received NOTHING else, no bread, no explanation so we asked the waiter where our food was. He acknowledged our question but didn’t come back to us. Tables around us, who arrived after us, had been served their starter courses and then their main courses. At 8.45pm we got up to leave and gave our complaint to the English speaking receptionist. Several people then appeared saying they were very busy but not one actually said ‘sorry’. We have NEVER walked out of a restaurant before but we have never gone 1.5 hours without any food or explanation before either. This is how they treat residents who have pre booked ! Give this one a wide berth, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be by a long way. There are several fish restaurants in the port area serving delicious food in a timely manner that are now much better."

Très bon moment, tout était parfait du début à la fin du repas. La Cuisson des poissons était parfaite. Personnel très sympathique.

lovely venue, brilliant service, wonderful fish, and all the food was great, except for a really tough piece of meat but then it is a fish restaurant.

Bravo.

The setting of the restaurant is magnificent and the food is excellent. I shared a “Bar en croute de sel”, which was extraordinary. Bread and dessert were of high quality as well. A bit expensive and staff could be a bit more friendly, but otherwise it was a perfect experience !

Whether on the bistro or on the exceptional gastronomic side for me. Traditional recipes that are too rarely found as the very generous meuniar sole with the rise of the nets to the guerilla, Dutch sauce turbot worthy of this name, salad composed of smoked salmon extraordinary ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect. bistrot is not yet the dishes are respectful and tasty. Thanks for these two gourmet days in your hotel with the suite of the hotel the Vikings. a do and redo without modration!

The food at the bistro side of the restaurant was delicious. The assorted seafood/shellfish was an adventure in eating, down to the needle pick required for periwinkles. The lotte wrapped in bacon over sautéed cabbage with potatoes three ways was really good. Service was somewhat disjointed, but they seemed to be missing some staff at opening at 7:15 pm. We had to ask for the olives that came to another table as a nibble. Surprised that the staff was not more facile in English, but we managed with our french. Great sunset view, but must be there early, and with daylight savings time change soon, no view at all in the dark. In addition to the menu, there is a daily special; Thursday was the L...

We had a very good experience overall with a table facing the sea. Unfortunately it seems that the Restaurant is relying too much on the scenery and not enough on the restaurant atmosphere. No background music for example. Service was very professional and knowledgeable but not friendly enough! Even behind masks guests can feel if a person is smiling or not ! The food itself was well prepared and very tasty. The foie gras and “bar sauce au beurre”, veal filet and desserts were delicious ! However the waiting time between each meal was way too long. Worth the wait though ! Very good recommendations from the service team who spoke very well english and good value for money. Will definitely com...

This is a very fine seafood/shellfish restaurant that happens to be in a hotel. The service is a bit formal, but not stuffy. If TA allowed a more finely grained rating system, I would give them a 4.6 or 4.7. The views out the window and on your plate are quite pleasing. My wife and I ordered foie gras to start, and their rendition was delicious. Our Turbot and Rouget respectively were very fine with elegant sauces on the side and a nice vegetable garnish. Our Nougat Glacee dessert was also excellent. The wine list is fairly extensive and fairly priced. The restaurant is fairly expensive, but you will get your money's worth. It is the kind of place where a tie and jacket and a nice dress are...
