"Left a bit disappointed with this place after our first visit. My wife, my daughter and I came here for lunch after hearing good things. And there are some positives, the building is lovely as is the shop, the staff are friendly and the location is nice. However, the quality of the food vs the cost is way off, I paid around £12.00 for a vegan breakfast plus an additional £2.00 per fried egg, that’s right per egg! My daughter had the kids breakfast and we paid £2.00 again for an additional sausage, the girl refused to substitute the beans for anything, including the small items (totally understandable that that beans and a sausage do not equal the same cost). Now whilst the above is reasonably high in cost I’m happy to pay it, if the food is good, but this place it really was not, it was very average. If you compare it to the Yard which is 10 minutes up the road, which also charges these amounts there not even close in terms of quality and appeal, the Yard you leave satisfied you got your monies worth in terms of the quality of the food. Also worth noting for any coffee lovers, the coffee here is not great either, again the Yard is better for there beans."
