Nice little place on Grosse Elbstrasse. Really no-frills at all and a very relaxed atmosphere. Food is good and great value. Attentive staff. Had a nice evening.

When you are here, you feel yourself in Italy.. Just like a Sicilian family restaurant... Everyone is so friendly and everything is so delicious.. With reasonable prices.

Very good and delicious food. I visited this restaurant many time with friends and my family. The interior of this place is basic and simple. But the food is really delisious and tasty. My wife likes their lambrusco wine. My favorite is dish with mussels in souce. There is very big dish and you can take it for two or three persons.

The service, the food and the atmosphere are perfect for large groups. The fish was all excellent - especially known for its shrimp which I didn't try as I am allergic but the others said it was excellent. My grilled fish was perfect. I had to debone it myself but it pretty much fell off the bones, was tender and flaky and very tasty. Definitely value for the money and would go back again.

Italian Restaurants ... You can write books about ratings and services .... To make very clear, if you need the "Don Giovanni VIP" Italian where you want to be seen ... Stay out from this location ... Here are typical Hanseatic Business Guys and young People who like good Food for fair prices in a rustical Environment .... Vistited this place early for dinner. Although 2/3 empty the noise level was like on an airfield. You are sitting in a big hall on long tables. The staff was very quick and friendly.Food arrived after 20 min. Quality of food was just average; prices on the high end.(9,90 € for a tiny portion of lasagne).We left early because it wasnt the place you would like to spent more time than nessesary.There are better places for italian food in Hamburg.

This restaurant has been there for quite some years, which is usually a good sign, and its an institution around Altona/St. Pauli (together with Il Cuneo, the oldest Italian restaurant in Hamburg). Food is being served on long benches and tables which makes the restaurant simple, yet authentic and somewhat cozy. Good value-for-money, but quality depends on what kind of dish you order. Shrimps are really good, so is the beef filet. Pasta rather mediocre. Place is good for families and children as its not super posh (nor quiet).Note: No pizzas are being served during the weekend.

Walking along the waterfront checking out the location of the fish market which was happening the next day we can across a collection of four diners. This one looked the most fun and the posted menu looked very appealing. Inside were social benches and an Italian decor. It was late at night and the Euro Cup was on. Perfect: game, food and wine! We very much enjoyed our pasta meal, but we also enjoyed the personalities of the staff. It is a good sign when the staff all came out and had a meal of their own food while watching the game too. This is a great place to eat, to visit, and to socialize.

We have had very good fish at other restaurants in the area and we go to Italy once or twice every year. This restaurant is no substitute for going to Italy. It will give no “Lust auf Italien”. On the contrary. The food is mediocre and not like in Italy. The pasta dish, they serve pasta as main dishes here, was way to acid. Probably caused by very cheap bad quality canned tomatoes. The main, a scampi dish, was way to salty. You couldn’t feel the taste of the scampi or the other ingredients. The problem is probably that they pour over lots of bad quality salty black olives that when heated loses a lot of salt into the dish. The scampi dish was also a bit pricy for what I got.
