"The staff are trying their best ... and I feel for them that I'm posting this review, but perhaps management need to step it up a gear given they claim to be a fine dining' restaurant that's a very bold claim, and one that's...certainly NOT substantiated by the surroundings. Firstly, I tried to book by leaving two answerphone messages and a website enquiry. Yes, they're closed on a Monday, but why not have an answerphone message to that effect and a call-back service? When I booked I clearly stated that we would have to sit outside as we were bringing a large (but well-behaved) dog. When we arrived (6.30 pm), they had no record of the dog! The gazebo area is large, but it wasn't set up no blankets, no lights, no patio heater. The area looks grubby and unkempt and table settings were missing several items of cutlery. We asked for the lights to be switched on, we asked for a blanket for my grand-daughter, but no patio heater. The food was good not particularly for me as a veggie but everyone else said theirs was delicious. The service ... they really do try, but it's young men and women who look nervous and not very confident. The door to the outside was closed understandably as other diners would have been chilly but then we were almost forgotten about. At one point we had to close one of the sides on the gazebo and the wind blew and broke a wine glass spilling it all over my food that left it inedible. Our fault for sitting outside on a windy evening perhaps. Fine dining isn't all about the food it's about the furniture, the atmosphere, the service and the surroundings ... you haven't got that right Malagor. We spent almost £200 so I feel I have a right to be a little disgruntled. We'll stick to your takeaway menu in future."

Had a delicious meal here this evening, whilst staying at the nearby Ramada hotel. The service was excellent and the place had a lovely Friday night buzz. Good value and very tasty food. I thoroughly enjoyed the red Thai prawn curry 12.95) and my large...glass of white wine 5.95). Would definitely return if I was back in the area.

Woeful excuse for papaya salad and Singapore noodles and I should know with my family having lived in Singapore and with us both having visited Thailand. They also forgot the sticky rice we asked for and didn't even apologise when I pointed this out to...them. Thankfully we're only visiting the area. If this was my local Thai place I'd be very disappointed.

a group of us went for a meal on Friday this service was terrible we asked to delete the table, the teller, glasses etc. this was not a night for us we paid over £300 for this service which was also eating...Terrible the rice was of a microwave as chef myself I would say that this was absolutely bad quality, the smell of moisture, since you were entering the building was enough to expose someone we would not be completely disappointed all of us all

Strange looking building for a restaurant but once inside very nice and clean. Staff were very pleasant on arrival and showed us to our table. Good selection on the menu both food and wine. Service was good and attentive but not in your face.(new waiter...we had could do with a little training on the art of pouring wine) but everyone has to learn somethings. Food was nice but for us the portions in the banquet menu were too large so if your not a big eater then go for the normal menu.

we are a group of old friends who have a meal every month, try different places each time. In this month, as it is one of our groups birthday, we decided to go thai, something different than the usual pub-fayre. what a good decision. it was one of the most beautiful times we had. the staff was very nice, very attentive and eating was very good. some of our groups had the meals in the offer and some of us had other things from the menu. I had the weeping tiger steak court. in any case. would highly recommend.

Two of us enjoyed an excellent first meal here, we were staying in the nearby Ramada and wanted to try this restaurant after reading the reviews. We were not disappointed, we both had Chicken Massaman with Jasmine rice. The portions were generous and the food...was delicious with lots of chicken pieces in a rich nutty sauce. We only had one course which was sufficient for us for an early evening meal. Staff were lovely, helpful and efficient and we enjoyed quick service. We are delighted to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area and we will certainly eat here again if we visit here in future.

we visited on a Sunday evening so was calm, there was only us and another table and they left soon after our arrival. service was very attentive and polite. the food was not great, for a starter we had a Siam...Platter everything was just fried, the Papaya salad I guess came as scraped from a chip shop with a large fried crawling in the middle, just too much fried. for the net we had 43. pad broccoli num mun hoi it was watery and the bark was not nice to chew tasted cheap. and a 41. ped makarm. the duck was well cooked and my partner left al of what he did not like at all. the cocktails were fantastic 2 for £12, which cannot go wrong. I can't rob the name, but it was nice.

Please be careful if you are vegan or vegetarian, the vegetarian menu isn't as advertised, quite a few of the dishes contain fish, so how these can be described as vegetarian is beyond me. It was only because we checked that they were vegan it...was pointed out to us that they actually used fish paste. When we said we had ordered these in the past and been assured that the dishes were vegan we were told they had a new chef who used fish paste, then we were told that yes they had had a suitable paste previously but it had run out!! It is a shame because it is a lovely restaurant which we now can't trust and unfortunately won't be going to again. The reason for the poor review is the lack of c...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
