"where: china town, birmingham, uk the dish: tee tarik! ok, so no dish, but definitiw the best drink I ever had! worth: £20pp food review: to eat: prawn toast, prawn balls, sweet and sour king prawn with egg roast rice, fish with ingwer and earlylings wobbles. to drink: tee tarik so first came the drinks, a few hot tea tariks to warm up on a rather cold Friday night. for those who do not know tee tarik is tee made with sweet condensed milk. fresh milk was not used in Malaysia as it was not available, so sweetened condensed milk was the healthiest option available. whatever the reason when they had a taste of it, they will wonder why it took them so long to try. next the appetizers, standard East Asia, plastered toast and plastered balls. the toasted were better than the toasted were both moderately standard and seem to have a frozen product standard instead of restaurant standard. sober status: alcohol is served in front of location if I had visited the next: lobster halal: no internal and external rating: the interieur has been reworked to serve more people, but it offers a basic Asian style, random furniture layout! somewhat confusing, (3 people sitting on a large 8 person dining table!? and random sections to its layout without flow. the outer is basic and could do with what is in a bit more. sum up: eating is served fast, but nothing to eat"

Pretty good. Very good variety of dishes. The quality and value for money is good too, although be aware it's cash only. The atmosphere inside is nice. We didn't try a lot of the drinks from the menu, but we were happy with Tiger beer.

Been here twice, love the food. A little pricey, I gasped at the price of a £3.50 teh tarik but it was so good Very authentic Malaysian food. Tried the roast pork, KL hokkien noodles and nasi goreng before, hokkien mee was just like what would be served in Malaysia.

birmingham is disputed to have the second largest population from malaysian to london, or so I have heard. When I went there for a weekend trip, I was looking forward to a special Malaysian restaurant, from which I heard good things. most importantly, they serve marmite huhn . I mean marmite huhn, I love this dish since it was invented less than 10 years ago. So I came to birmingham and it was right on the evening meal, although it was over, which is considered the usual evening meal. in the course of the next days I came back to taste on other Malaysian dresses. the restaurant I spoke about is called Malaysian...read more

malaysian delight is quiet and homey with a fast turnaround that serves the classics. we have made a box stop for dinner in birmingham on our return. roast duck, crispy pork bell, char kway teow and hainanese chicken rice is what we ordered. the chickens came with a clear broth that I did not live to see, but was informed that this is as it is usually given. it hasn't taste much, so not sure what to do. the meat just slips down her throat and the ginger-kirche sauce improves its taste. black bell had the juicy flesh with crispy skin and the brattaube was decent. expect fast service and bring cash in this casual restaurant.

My OH would always stop by Birmingham to have his comfort food whenever he's nearby. He would say that this place does the most closest to authentic Malaysian cuisine in England. He has tried their Assam Laksa 亞三叻沙 , Nyonya Fried Rice 娘惹炒飯 , Char Kway Teow 炒粿條 , Hokkien Mee 福建麵 and many more, and loved it. This time, we ordered Fish Head with Vermicelli in Soup 魚頭湯米粉 and Mee Goreng 馬來炒麵 ; both at £9.90. The portion is quite big for one person so it's better to share. The price is definitely reasonable for the portion size, quality of the dish and authenticity of Malaysian cuisine. Thank you Malaysian Delight for always bringing back nostalgic memories to my OH.

I had taken away a series of paintings from Malaysian joy, but until recently I would never have eaten. also until recently, I would just try nyonya fried rice, absolutely fantastic mix of satisfying great pieces by huh, juicy king prawn, mango and other pieces and boobs that keeps me back. this time my partner, char siu and roast disappointed to order with rice, this court was terrible, so a disappointing contrast to my usual court. to his credit was the rice tasty, but this is the only positive thing that can be said about it, good that and I think it actually looked deceptively tasty; the gay was all 100% pure fat, and sweeter than sweets, and the duck was just a disappointment. the staff...
