"My daughter was having a small catered wedding under a marquee in their garden on Friday the 18th September 2020. The wind strengthened in the afternoon and destroyed everything. Utter disbelief. They had booked the Masons Arms the following year so they could invite all...the family and friends to celebrate their first anniversary with no COVID. Suffice to say they were are only hope as they do have a very nice back room, large enough to cater for 30 people. After checking the regulations and found they could host the wedding their response was incredible! They replaced a door and set up all the necessary protocols to protect all the guests and customers. They allowed us to bring our caterers food and helped us set up. We completely decorated the room that night. Their commitment to the special day was unbelievable. They were friendly and accommodating at all times. The Masons is a brilliant pub and the atmosphere is always first class. My biggest compliment is to Gareth, Mark and their whole team exceptional. Thank you. Father of the Bride"

let's be honest, the middle of bodmin is grim! the masons arms is not! recently renovated. friendly local and great staff. Thank you. lisa we enjoyed their tips for charlestown and par sands beach. 5 minutes to foot from the prison and worth it. we have not eaten, so can not comment to eat. l 347 of 20.12.2013, p. 1).

Good ales, excellent food and great value for money. This pub has it all, cosy snug and public bar but also a new function room that also doubles as a restaurant. Then you have the outside seating area, on two levels, decking covered or uncovered,...car park. The jewel in the crown is the staff and regulars are so friendly. Definitely worth a visit. We found this place on an off chance when we were starving and everywhere was fully booked the Masons arms was quiet but perfect. Parking outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming, food was excellent and service was quick and efficient. The menu is...limited to burgers and hot dogs but they were the best burgers we’d all had in a long time reasonably priced and really good portion sizes. Would recommend to anyone!

I thought I'd check the masons again as it changed the hands and has been refurbished since my last visit. had just as good a time as in the past. I might have been lucky, but there's something about this pub where you can go in as a stranger and go out as a volunteer. had beautiful, entertaining talks with a series of different people. barmaid, originally from feltham, was epic. very chatting and friendly, a proud of her job, with the easy-going mood to help. I like bodmin, it gets a bad rap, but fits my character, and that's my favorite audience in town.

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
