Some of the best fish and chips you can get, great staff and prices are pretty reasonable.

We got Haddock and chips, pineapple fritter, chips and beans amd a chip butty. All was very nice, served nice and hot and portion sizes were very generous.

Very nice, just very very small chip portions.. went back and gravy was tasteless and like water, fish batter all fell off the fish. Was only wrapped for 1/2mins. Never again couldn't eat it like that. View menu

I was very disappointed with the fish that was supposed to be haddock not 2 pollocks together and selling as cod or haddock, the customers have a right to know that you are using a cheaper version of pollocks, this is the 2nd time I have come across this, and shan't be returning again

Top quality fish n chips here guys,we moved to pool 3 years ago,we wanted to find a decent fish n chip shop this was the first we found,and loved it ever since... We have tried the others but not a patch on maypole,so dont waste your time looking around, give it a go... Fish n chips twice and a small batterd sausage...that my order

After reading the positive reviews on Google, we were eager to dine at the Maypole. However, we were disappointed to find that the experience did not meet our expectations. I stopped by late for a takeaway fish and chips meal. The small portion was reasonably priced at £6.75 and the perfectly cooked chips were not greasy at all. The fish portion was lovely and the batter was outstanding with a delicious crispy taste. I was very impressed by this restaurant and might have to return soon, even though I'm not from the area.

I had a small portion of haddock and chips, a small side of gravy, small peas, a barm cake, and a can of DB. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside, while the fish was crispy, meaty, and had big flakes. The peas were just right and the gravy had a beefy taste, although it was a bit thin for my liking. The barm cake was a winner. If you happen to be passing by, stop in - you won't regret it. It's a bargain at £10.25.

Went to Maypole fisheries today and the food and service was excellent we had 1 regular Haddock and chips and 1 regular Haddock with half chips and half salad and it didn't disappoint. The regular Haddock was massive, so I can't imagine how big the special Haddock was! A drink and bread and butter were included in the price too. The young lady that served us was very polite and attentive. were stuffed after our meal. I would highly recommend the Maypole and will certainly be back when in Otley again View menu
