"The restaurant Mesa offers the slightly unlikely combination of tapas/meze serving style and German food. And they succeed in their effort! It is a good introduction to basic German cooking, served in small dishes. Its situated in Marlene Dietrich Platz, very modern and pretty interior...and furniture. The service is perfect. We went with kids, and they always love the more social way of dining as tapas/meze is. Now also in Germany! One touch we liked; unlike spanish and middle-east inspirations: They serve the small dishes as starters and mains. Mediterranean style with German order! One mistake: The shrimps were not fresh, they had obviously been stored in this salty, nasty thing they contain shrimps in for sale in convenient stores. This was duly noticed by the seafood loving Scandinavian kids. There is simply no excuse for this, but the rest was very good."

At the Grand Hayyt Hotel the Mesa is a new restaurant with a good choice of dishes. All the dishes are with small portions and you can choose several. The food is very good and the environment is great. It´s not expensive at all!

Restuarant is part of a hotel, we enjoyed a cocktail in the bar whilst our table was made ready. Very small restaurant and tables crowded togehter but it was very atmospheric. The food was delicious. We tried several german' dishes and weren't disappointed. although we...won't be ordering curry sausage and chips again! Overall pleasant dining experience.

we went to mesa, based on recommendations on tripadvisor. and we were not disappointed. there is a selection of German specialties in small portions and we ordered the potato soup, the spaetzel, currywurst and a little salat. the amounts were decently large to share or eat individually and the food tasted good. the wee was a little expensive. overall a good choice to potsdamer place.

Wonderful food at reasonable prices, highly recommended. Appetizers are great, some 20 dishes to taste. Meat is good too, lamb and chicken to try absolutely. Hot red peppers for the bravest. Lebanese red wine suggested. Very good service and nice atmosphere. Desserts with hot dates...with almond and ice cream, but the best is at the end of the dinner, with the Arab coffee that can challenge the Italian one. Said by an Italian, this is the best compliment ever.

pity that there are no 10 stars :-) was on Saturday with my brother in mesa, when we arrived at the local, all the tables were already occupied. Nevertheless, the attentive houser has created a place for us. we were advised and quickly came the order on the table. all the dishes were exceptionally very good, tasty and finely seasoned. the service was always friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. to the close we got mocca on the house and were very friendly. we're coming back!

two non-German speaking hungry travelers arriving in their restaurant would be a problem for most space on a busy one (no replacement tables, had to be one up for us) end of the month Friday evening, but not in this wonderful fund. it has been recommended...for us from a place we met, and to say that we would not dissapointed be an understatement, my partner is in the rule not very adventurous when it comes to food, but between the recommended Lebanese salate and the whole fresh middle eastern/German tariff, we could not help but purify our tellers. would be highly recommended to everyone.

This restaurant is in the Hyatt hotel and meters from Potsdamer Platz. The selection of tapas is not huge but the variations are creative, well presented and delicious. We had spätzle (famous German noodles) with leeks and mushrooms; currywurst (local sausage) with fries; beef tartare;...mini lamb chops with baby asparagus wrapped in pancetta. The desserts were wonderful (mini shots of chocolate mousse, semolina cake with raspberry) and the prices varied between Euro 5 -9 per dish. They have a wide selection of Rieslings. The setting and ambience make it perfect for both business and chill out evenings.

I have treated my team at a very late end of the year. as there were nine of us, we asked for a mix of cold and warm mezze, and some beautiful Lebanese white wine (which is very beautiful). eating was very good, with all classics...(hummus, baba ganoush, lamb and chicken keer, falafel, etc. the great surprise was the very delicious falafel I usually find very boring in general. we also had braided lion tooth, that was an overshave and very good. the chicken livers were however only tepid and quite bland. if they want a normal Lebanese restaurant in the old west of berlin, this is to go. if they want to eat hip, trendy or edgy Lebanese, they are probably better in newcomers.
