"We regularly pass through callander and always stop in here for a sandwich. Customer service can sometimes be a bit dry but they are a very busy shop and understand the stress of that. Today will be our last stop in as the prices are ridiculous. Nearly £17 for 2 sandwiches and a small bottle of juice to share (take away). My regular sandwich was also pretty poor. 3 small bits chicken with gaps in between and 1 circle of salami, lots of rocket tho. It was mostly bread, rocket and mayo which was pretty bland (again used to be really garlicy and rich). These sandwiches used to be absolutly loaded with chicken and so tasty. But with that price and the underwhelming result we won't be going out of our way to come here again. Prices are not particularly transparent ether inside the shop and you are a bit rushed to buy what you see by the staff. Not even a napkin in the paper bag considering it was bought to take away. 2 stars for the fresh made bread."

Awful cappuccino with no foam. Was charged an extra £1.00 for non dairy milk. Total £4.40 Makes Costa and Starbucks prices seem like a bargain.

I was disappointed when we were informed that we had only 3 minutes to finish our coffee. It made it difficult to savor the experience and I found it to be quite rude.

I recently dined at Ate Out! I have a yeast intolerance, but their sourdough cheese and tomato tart was amazing! The pecan caramel pie was also delicious. I look forward to trying more dishes the next time I visit.

Pit stop on walk. Fresh coffee with a peanut butter flapjack for me and a brownie for hubs. A beautiful selection of homemade bakery items including pies. My son loves the macaroni pies from here! Bread is fabulous. Dog friendly too! View menu

Bought two scotch pies, which were the worst I have ever tasted. Pastry was hard not the proper pastry for a pie, and meat was unappetising. The dearest pie we have ever bought. Staff were very dour, didn’t no how to be pleasant to customers

We had Lorne sausage breakfast bap, bacon bap and the vegan sausage bap. All delicious and lovely rolls. Unusual to have a sausage roll that doesn’t sit heavy! The cakes are incredible. We loved the banoffee blondie. Nice friendly service and a very pleasant ambience in the cafe itself too. Thanks!

I haven't visited for some time, but the pies are still tasty, along with the bread, cakes, and everything else I sampled! The long line out the door indicated to me that some of the negative reviews may have been due to personal preference or a single bad experience, rather than a decline in quality. View menu

So much potential! But not taken advantage of! Cakes etc look delicious- the ones we tried were. Really wanted meringues though but they don’t sell filled with cream which I found odd. Service was efficient but not with a smile, in fact quite dour which was not good. The tearoom part seems to be closed so we sat outside which was fine. We renamed it Mhorgue Bakery

Bought a sourdough loaf, and two cherry bakewell tarts, what a disappointment. The bread was dry, the crust was tough, and could hardly be cut with a serrated bread knife. The tarts also were dry. At a cost of over £7, it was a total rip off. The next day I called into the shop and stated my disappointment and was told, by a member of staff That is your opinion and she walked off. No prices shown, they charge you whatever they want. Suggest you give this shop a miss and go to the bakers further down the street on the corner.
