"I visited this restaurant for the second time tonight, and it was even better than my last experience! I appreciate attentive service, and I can be critical if a new place doesn't meet my standards; however, the Mill House exceeded my expectations. The service was prompt and attentive, even on a busy Sunday. Tonight, on a Friday, the food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh and full of flavor, with a fantastic selection on the menu. The atmosphere and decor struck the perfect balance, with just the right amount of lighting and music to create a cozy yet inviting space. I didn't expect to find such a gem so close to our new home, which feels somewhat isolated. I'm so glad we discovered this place, and it will definitely be our go-to restaurant from now on."

Hotel Bar and Restaurant is the only place to stay in Stewarton. While I cannot speak to the dining or accommodation experience at this time, I wanted to leave a positive review. View menu

The Millhouse used to be my local spot and I've watched it, along with many other places in Stewarton, evolve over the years for the better. Whether or not you decide to visit, I highly recommend it.

The Millhouse put on a beautiful buffet for my daughters funeral. Sandwiches and cakes and sausage rolls were perfect and plentiful. Even the vegan sandwiches were a success. Helped taking a weight off my mind at this sad time for us all. Highly recommend them.

This was my first visit, and I must say that this restaurant is stunning, featuring beautiful decor and a charming little outdoor seating area. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and the food was delicious with generous portions. However, I had to deduct a star due to the slow service, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. View menu

absolutely loved this place. the mill house has a modern, clean feel and is in up to two. a part is a restaurant and the other one bar. we went to the restaurant that had a nice opportunity. the personal was friendly and eating was absolutely amazing. perfect place to enjoy a meal and relax. the cocktails are also fantastic. I would regain popcorn coffee martini.

This was our first time dining here. We made a reservation for a busy Saturday night despite the terrible weather. We were served quickly, and the food did not disappoint. I had the sea bass, which was absolutely delicious, and we were happy to have room for dessert since none of us could resist the tempting selection. Overall, we experienced excellent service, delicious food, and great value. We'll definitely be back soon!

"I’ve now ordered cakes and scones from Struther Farmhouse twice during the lockdown period, although it would have been more often if I’d discovered they were doing this earlier! I saw their advert on a local Facebook page and they are only a ten to fifteen minute drive away from me. They release the menu for the weekend on a Tuesday and you can call or text to pre-order for pick up. They offer meals and other items as well as the cakes and scones. You can drop in for cakes but have to pre-order meals. So far we’ve had plain and fruit scones, strawberry tarts, mars bar crispy cake, caramel and Malteser tarts and I also bought two Father’s Day gift bags with jam and shortbread this weekend. The scones are HUGE, but they are not dry and crumbly like some can be, they are still very soft the next day. All the cakes have been delicious, so fresh and really good size, you definitely get value for money. The set up at the farmhouse is really organised, they serve from a window and have a table set up showing other items that can be purchased, e.g. toilet rolls, strawberries, nectarines, jam, eggs, juice, etc. Ruth and her Mum are really friendly and it’s lovely that they have set this up during lockdown. They are clearly popular as both times I’ve been there has been a number of other customers at the same time as me. They take both cash and card payments, just take your own bag along to take your purchases away. I’ve never been here for a meal but I’ll definitely try it once some state of normality returns and they are able to open again."

"To be honest... bitterly bitterly disappointed. The menu looked and sounded so good, however, the standard and quality of food is nowhere near restaurant quality. If it was a greasy spoon cafe I'd have given three stars but for an alleged speciality pizza and burger diner it's a big fail.Waiting staff were polite and smiley and can't fault them on that, but attention and observations needed for great waiting staff wasn't there. The taste of the food was okay, it wasn't anywhere near what you'd expect. We ordered cheesy chilli nachos as a starter as well as cheesy chips. On the menu described the nachos as being handcut... that must be urban slang for Aldi's basic tortilla chips, smothered in a greasy watery mince covered with some liquid cheese. At least there was plenty of fresh chopped chillis as that was the only part that had flavour, they must have had over ordered the fresh chilli's which I'll explain shortly. Chips were again straight from Aldis frozen section and had the taste of actually being from the oven rather a fryer, smothered in the same liquid cheese and with fresh cut chillis on top?!?Pizza was okay but had suffered from sitting under a heat lamp too long and this can be said for the chicken burger as well.. brioche bun stale and dry chicken over done. The worst offender of the night was the creamy cajun chicken pasta dish that my daughter ordered. This is where the query about the chilli over order comes in... the top of the dish was layered in fresh cut red chillis which in the menu was no mention of. The title of creamy could also be called into question as the amount of oil at the bottom of the dish was curdling anything creamy. The pasta had been boiled then added to a frying pan that was cooking the peppers, onions and chicken in a sea of oil then tossed in with what ever tiny amount of cream and spice they had then straight into a bowl and served. Again like before the taste wasn't terrible however was more like what your Nan would serve on her first attempt at cooking with pasta and olive oil, when her special is mince and tatties. The problem is, on looking at the kitchen staff I can't bring myself to use the words chefs) they certainly give the appearance of not being skilled or anywhere near experienced. If someone had said the week earlier they were actually part of the Standalane rail bridge repair crew I wouldn't have doubted it. That's it in a nutshell, no actual proper chef would prepare or even allow waiting staff to present these dishes to customers. If Gordon Ramsey had popped out of the toilets and was filming an episode of Kitchen Nightmares it would have all made sense.I have made some humour to this post however they definitely need an experienced member of waiting staff to supervise the floor and an actual chef or two in the kitchen...There was plenty of other complaints but you get the jist... just not very good. The first pic is the chips all the chillis around the side are actually from the pasta dish the excess ones she couldn't eat for fear of burning out her taste buds. The starters were still left on the table when they delivered the mains"
