"I really like this place, but I was disappointed that they only had moules marinière and not the garlic, turf and salt and pepper options that were listed. The sauce seemed to only be cream-based and not spiced. Additionally, the three of us who ordered mussel fries did not receive them until after we had finished eating. When we asked the waiter about it, they were very polite and apologetic. Despite this mishap, the mussels were perfect and none of us got sick. The rest of the menu and dining experience were enjoyable as well. It was unfortunate that these bland mussels had to be my birthday meal, but overall it was a great place. It seems like there may be some issues with the service that need to be addressed so that guests receive what they ordered in a timely manner. I hope this was just an off night and will give this place another try."

Mish Mash is a fantastic place with a spacious interior and tall ceilings.

I recently had lunch at mish mash, a lively and inviting restaurant. The service was good and the food was enjoyable, though not particularly remarkable. It may be a better spot for lunch than dinner. View menu

great roast beef. I wasn't disappointed! The roast beef was cooked perfectly, with a lovely pink center. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was friendly. I will definitely be coming back for more delicious roast beef. Highly recommend!

The dining experience was pleasant, but the menu lacked variety. For example, there was only one type of burger available, made with beef meat, and customers had to pay an extra fee for a side dish. My main dish, the only option on the menu, was good but for £11 I expected more than a basic salad. We also ordered a side of truffled fries to share, but the portion was small for the price of £3.75 and we felt it wasn't worth the cost. The chocolate pot dessert was delicious, but there were only 3 dessert options to choose from. The restaurant is small and charming, but I believe the menu should be expanded and the prices of the sides could be more affordable. View menu

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
