"Unfortunately, we left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied after experiencing a long wait for our food. We ordered two sandwiches from the breakfast menu and waited over 40 minutes for them to arrive. We were not informed of the wait time when we sat down, nor were we given any updates during the wait. When the food finally arrived, the server did not apologize and instead made a remark about the delay. It would be helpful if the restaurant informed customers of long wait times before they order or sit down, as this seems to be a common issue based on other reviews. The sandwich was decent, but the hash brown was undercooked and the prices were quite high for what we received. The interior of the restaurant was nice and they had a good selection of drinks, but if you're looking for a quick meal, it's best to go somewhere else."

Pleasant service in a very cosy environment, the room was very warm but wait was too long for food approximately 40 minutes. The food was good but would only go again if the were a lot fewer customers. Ordered a latte, waited 10 minutes, enquired at the coffee bar about it to be told 'i 'm doing it ' with attitude which she clearly wasn 't. Coffee was average and over priced for what it was. Food seems ok but that also looks over priced. Seems like because theyve been there for a long time they don 't have to try. Strange table setup. Prefer to go to another cafe. Meal type: Other

"Really unfortunate our last experience was so poor compared to when we visited in the summer. Visited as a family on a Sunday and was surprised there was seating for us, we were grateful. Lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated. No staff members to be found but sign said to help ourselves to a table. Don’t like the ordering at the bar thing but that’s personal preference; however makes it feel very much like a Wetherspoons. After ordering, we asked where our food was as we were waiting more than 40 minutes. It came a few minutes later. Kids chicken and chips, absolutely fine. My partner’s steak was beautifully cooked to his preference and seasoned well. I ordered a burger which stayed it was “smothered in melted cheese”. Two slices of cold cheese on top, with a burnt to a crisp burger bun underneath. How they thought it was okay to serve this is beyond me. I took it to the bar, got an apology muttered at me. Two minutes later it came back with a fresh bun, but everything else plonked on top, clearly microwaved as was overly hot and the cheese shrivelled up and dry. Undercooked soggy bacon on top, way too salty. One of the worst burgers I’ve ever had (which after having a quick scan through the reviews, I’m not the only one). Ordered desserts, which were very good. Christmas pudding stayed it came with a brandy sauce, my partner asked if it was a creamy sauce. The woman behind the counter had no idea at all. What turned up was custard? Which was unusual. But the actual Christmas pudding was lovely. Think we will try again but hope the mounting negative reviews are listened to. It’s such a good spot, especially in summer so would be a waste if the quality didn’t match."
