"Beautiful tea room, friendly service and what they had on offer was absolutely top notch. Would definitely give 5* but they were on a reduced menu so there was only one item for someone with dairy allergies (and none for vegans) which was the reason we'd gone because they'd gotten great reviews for their vegan options. "We arrived at the restaurant half an hour early and were promptly seated at our table, which was great. We enjoyed some drinks and conversation before placing our order. We were informed that the kitchen was busy and there would be a slight delay, which we understood given the packed restaurant. However, after an hour passed, we still hadn't received our food while other tables that arrived after us were being served. Just as we were about to inquire about our order, the Head chef realized that it hadn't been placed yet. We decided to cancel our starters and just ordered our mains, as we were quite hungry by then. Fortunately, the food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented and delicious. Dessert was also homemade and delightful. The only disappointment was the lack of apology for the delay and mishap with our order. A simple gesture of apology would have gone a long way in improving our overall experience."

"Good pub grub, not too expensive, and no airs or graces, nice range of beers and some interesting ciders. Locals all friendly. Staff on duty were all helpful and attentive even when the pub was busy. Lots of smallish rooms, and a big garden. The football, Liverpool TV Chanel, was on in the room we ate in, the volume wasn’t loud, so it didn’t disturb those weren’t interested but just load enough for those who were. A nice compromise. Other rooms don’t have the TV so you can always try and get a table there. Speaking of getting a table, they don’t take bookings, so it is first come first served."

"I had a fantastic experience at this tea shop! The staff is wonderful, the ambiance is delightful, and the food is outstanding. Over the years, I've visited several times for cream teas and light lunches and was always impressed. Recently, I discovered just how amazing their full menu is. I'm even considering looking for a house in Worth Matravers just to have easy access to this charming spot!"

"The staff were nice but the place was alot smaller than the pictures show. We were a table of 6, we were seated right Infront of the bar which people then tried ordering over the table. We all had roast but none of it was very nice. The roast pork was very tough and dry as was the beef. The roast potatoes were hard and didn't seem like they'd seen an oven. Gravy was already on the food when it came out so you didn't get a choice whether you wanted it or not. My mother had the baileys cheesecake for afters but it had no biscuit base. I think you could find somewhere a bit nicer for the price."
