"In the old town near the Lorenzkirche opposite this underground station is the Nassauer Keller. He's been on the screen for a long time. Either they had it or we have no place. In our area there was only an illumination through the lamp on the table, then in the basement was something one-sided darkness. It's a really old cellar vault where you can smell it. In the background there was discreet music. The areas are somewhat divided and on the other side each table had a lamp, not just a floor lamp. There are wooden tables and chairs that fit to this ambience as we find. Mönchshof Brauerei's beers are some of my favorites, so when we saw the steps leading down into this deep cellar restaurant and pub, it was a sudden certainty that we were stopping for a mid-afternoon beer. de enige romaanse kelder die er overblijft, schrijven ze. is indrukwekkend! en bovendien knus ingericht. het onthaal is zeer vriendelijk en de bediening zal dat ook zijn. de kaart is duits, maar geen bratwurst! wel wilde zalm met uitbundig veel groenten, net zoals de rundercarpaccio trouwens. voor een lunch zouden we hiermee genoeg gehad hebben. wij aten he daarna een heerlijke steak, perfect gebakken (in english wise = saignant) met een saus van eierzwammen en gebakken krieltjes. overgoten bed het met een glas lateburgunder. the wijn slaan we thuis ook in: het is een bourgogne (want ook pinot noir druif), maar niet zo pokkenduur. zeker aan te raden huis! zalm en carpaccio 13,90 €, de steak...
