"I will admit that it was the name which drew me to this place, as well as the fact that it is just round the corner from the Festival Theatre where we were going after dinner, but I am very glad that it did. Having been to a few Middle Eastern places recently, I was delighted that NawRoz was completely up to standard, and indeed probably the best tasting food out of the various alternatives One major advantage is that a lot of the menu is suitable for my pescatarian mother-in-law great veggie options, as well as some nice fish dishes. We shared a mixed starter platter all of which was delicious and then I had a fab chilli lamb kebab. BYOB to boot and the service was very attentive, without being disruptive. We will definitely be back soon"

Informal, relaxing and very friendly. Great choice of dishes, also for vegetarians/vegans. Large portions.

The food here is delicious, one of my fav places to go. Always busy so has a great buzz. Downside is the service is REALLY slow so don't go if you are in a rush! View menu

Good sized and interesting and varied menu to choose from, reasonably priced, friendly efficient service and BYOB with no corkage charge. What more could you want for a casual night out with friends?

Some really tasty dishes (the Lamb Borek and Meatball main were great) and not expensive I didn't know it was bring your own booze, but that just adds to the value for money. Simple setting but friendly staff.

Valentines meal and whilst I reconise February may not be culturally significant to those running the resturant if they could find a way of celebrating or marking local significant dates it might be a nice addition to the current offering which is very good. There were many, many couples there that night so i suspect we weren't alone in choosing this resturant to mark the occasion. View menu

My partner and I went to Nawroz for dinner on Friday after work. We had bought a voucher for a three course meal for two, and it was SO delicious! Not only was the food super yummy and very very generous portions, there was a really nice atmosphere, the staff were lovely and the food came in really good time even though it was really busy. Voucher or no voucher we will definitely be going back! No corkage charge on BYO was the cherry on top. This has sprung to the very top of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh list' so thank you!

We were surprised by the size of the restaurant but it never became too loud. Nice mix of people eating out. We took our own wine as it is BYOB. There are supermarkets on South Bridge to buy on the way. The starter was good we shared humus and tabouleh plus a large bowl of olives. My OH had the Kofta kebab which had plenty of meat on it. I had the Tapsi which was very good and served with plenty of rice. Although quite full we shared a Baklava which was served with cream. It might have been nice to have the option of having it without If we visit Edinburgh again we make sure we book here again.
