"We made a reservation for 9 adults and 3 children at this restaurant. We arrived an hour early and the owner was very friendly, telling us to relax by the fire while they prepared our table. We all ordered the Sunday lunch, which was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming – perfect for a winter's day. However, the experience was marred by a young male waiter who was very rude. When two of the children were exploring the decor, he sharply told us to control our kids. Later, when one of the children and his father went to the restroom, the waiter rudely questioned their whereabouts before resuming his duties. This behavior made us feel embarrassed and uncomfortable, so we settled the bill and left. Despite the lovely venue and food, the unwelcoming attitude of this staff member has discouraged us from returning as a family."

What a gorgeous pub this is!! My boyfriend and myself were looking for a nice little country pub to have some food and stumbled across this beauty. The welcome we received was so welcoming and friendly and the food was outstanding, especially the trifle!!!! Will definitely be coming back. View menu

I had a late afternoon/evening meal with some friends, where we only ordered main courses and desserts. We had 2 seafood platters, 1 Hunters chicken, and a Lasagne, all of which were perfect! I personally enjoyed the Lasagne. The staff was very nice and efficient, and we didn't encounter any problems.

We recently stayed with the Rees Family for the second time and once again felt very welcomed. The food, drinks, and friendly staff, along with the warm reception from the locals, made for a fantastic weekend. Our ride to the coast on Sunday, passing through Saundersfoot and other beautiful spots, was truly breathtaking. Steve, the outstanding motorbike mechanic, helped me with my slipping clutch while Stefan served us tea and coffee. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to the Rees Family for a great experience. Sincerely, The Boys from Manchester. View menu

Firstly this pub is beautiful set in a really nice location and inside is the right mix of traditional with a modern twist. The staff are superb and service is all round very good. However I must say the food is average, not sure how it gets such high ratings. We ordered 5 meals, the only standout meal was the chill con carne, spaghetti Bolognese and lasagna weren't particularly good and the kids chicken bite meal was your usual frozen chicken nuggets, actually thought they may of been homemade, as the chips too we thought surely they'll be homemade but definitely frozen bought chips when we visited. Overall not a terrible place to eat, like I say pubs lovely and very welcoming but food isn'...

What fabulous evening we had! Took family from Australia who were visiting alone with my husband and daughter. The food was just fabulous especially the homemade pie which both the men had. Neither could believe they had a whole gravy boat of wonderful homemade gravy to themselves. The pie itself was deep and made with shortcrust pastry a lovely change from puff. The fish and chips, chilli and pulled pork burger were good but the pie was the star of the show! We were very well looked after at all times without feeling we were being pestered and being checked on that everything was ok as often is the case. In fact so good we’ve already rebooked for when we have our next lot of visitors. Such...
