"Went for Mother’s Day . The place was freezing, so it wasn’t too comfortable. The dumplings from the small plates were lovely. There is no children’s menu which is a shame. The staff weren’t flexible when asking for rice instead of noodles with a dish, to the point of being rather abrupt. The stir fried tofu noodle dish was tasty but was very oily at the bottom. The noodle soup was plentiful but somewhat lacked flavor in the soy broth. There was also a hair in it, so I left the meal. The sushi was great as always. The toilets did not seem too clean in one of the cubicles with skirting hanging off and a huge build up of much and dust. Sadly it seems to have gone down hill since our last visit"

We were optimistic about Nudo but found it to be a mixed experience, with some positive aspects and some disappointments.

I love this place. I'm going to dinner in Newcastle. You change the menu once in a while. Mock meat and tofu dishes. Everything is clearly marked.

Went here for the 2nd time. It was 7.30 on a Tuesday night so it was just us there. The food was great, lots of choice. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back.

I came here for a lunch date and found the experience to be perfectly acceptable. The menu took some time to arrive, but that didn't affect the overall enjoyment of the meal. I wouldn't review dates on Yelp, but I would recommend this place for a casual lunch outing.

For me one of the two best Chinese places in Newcastle (King Neptune the other) and really the United Kingdom only in general. Honestly believe that these people can compete on the streets of NYC, where competition is much more intense than anywhere in Britain for great tasting and great value Chinese cuisine. For years, they have been so great to see that they are able to keep their standards high for both food service. Look forward to my next return. View menu

Went out for a family birthday, was the first time we visited here.... But definitely not the last. On arrival we perused the menu, which was extensive. On reflection I think we over ordered on the small plates but heyho. All the food was tasty and deliciously different. The mains were also of high quality. We had to admit defeat but the staff packaged up the leftovers for us. All in all I was massively impressed with food and the staff. Will definitely be back.

I visited with a work colleague for lunch one day. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet with only one other group in. We were seated and served quickly, and there was ample choice on the menu. After ordering, our food and drinks arrived promptly. It was tasty, though, not mind blowing, if anything, perhaps a little light on flavour Tom yum rice was not as spicy as I was expecting, so I was left a little disappointed. Service was prompt and the bill was accurate. Overlooking all not bad, but could be more.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
