Ocean Fish - Menu

Went on recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. Quite the opposite. The place is clean tidy and cosy. The fish was cooked just right, crispy batter with moist, succulent fish inside. It was nicely displayed and we enjoyed every mouthful.

The staff at this restaurant are wonderful- they are friendly and efficient. We received a warm welcome and excellent service. The fish is delicious- so fresh with a crispy batter. The menu is quite extensive. This may be the best fish and chips in town! The mushy peas are also fantastic.

WOW!!! The best seaside fish and chip shop I’ve ever been too. The food is absolutely beautiful, the service is fantastic and the restaurant is so clean and airy. We had an amazing visit to the ocean today! The food was delicious as always. My husband and I ordered the haddock, while my kids ordered the sausage and chips, and everything was exceptional. A big shout out to the staff for their hard work and their professionalism in providing clean and top-notch service. We can't wait to come back for another trip!

Brilliant service friendly staff delicious food. My wife and I were going out to a party and needed a small meal. The waitress kindly suggested the child’s portion which turned out to be a decent size fish and chips with a few mushy peas. We had curry sauce and a couple of slices of bread and butter. I would definitely return now to try a large portion when I’m feeling hungry Great chippy 10 out of 10 from us

Disappointing meal, always liked the Ocean fish bar , and previously when it was Suthies. Sadly won’t be returning. As a local and a member of a fishing family, I was wholly disappointed with the fish and chips today. Small thin haddock that was tasteless and chips that looked as pale as an undernourished child from the 1800s. I can only imagine the good reviews are from trippers that are used to bad fish and chips. View menu

Every time we visit Cleethorpes, we make sure to stop by this restaurant without fail! The staff here are outstanding - always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything. The food is truly top-notch. The fish is consistently large and cooked perfectly with a crispy golden batter and tender, hot fish. My son can't get enough of the sausage, it's his go-to every visit. And don't forget to try the curry sauce, it's a must-have and the best we've ever had! Keep up the great work, we think you're amazing! We'll be back soon!

Me my grandma and my husband came here for dinner last night, it was a last minute thing, great service my husband and grandma had cod which looked and tasted lovely however I had the haddock, when I bit into it it was just warm, it was watery and very very tasteless, I did not enjoy it at all, I couldn't finish it it was that bland, when retuning home half an hour later I was vomiting, cold and aching, I had contracted food poisining, what a shame because it Was a lovely place, I will not be returting here ever again, such a shame!

Travelled from Sheffield and enjoyed a walk along the sea front, but the high point of the visit is fish and chips at Ocean. It was children in need day and all the staff were in fancy dress to raise money. For a few years we had meals from the restaurants closer to the promenade, but once we found Ocean, towards the end of a street running parallel to the front, this has been our destination for at least 5 years. Its best to book a table as it is always busy. Take away can be bought in the entrance, but for a great sit-down meal go through the chip shop to the restaurant.
