"Italian food and owners of Italian restaurants can be tedious, if not in love with themselves. This Italian restaurant in the Kleine Ulrichstrasse in the city centre of Halle next to the river Saale goes the extra mile for the customer and for his palate. The food one will get to eat there is nothing one hasn't heard of before, but the way they serve it, the arrangement on the plate, the freshness of the ingredients and the subtle, never aggressive way to suggest and to present it are rarely matched. The customer feels like being the centre of attention on the right moment and there is no waiter laughing about him, if he pronounces difficult Italian words in the wrong way. It is not about talking Italian, nor about boasting with nerdy knowledge about wines, cellars and terroir. It is about having enough time to have excellent food in a very friendly and cozy restaurant. The focaccias, the salads and the pasta dishes are mouth-watering and without exception great. The meat dishes are a bit expensive at first sight, but the amount of food on the plate and the taste of it are worth it. Great! My favorite Italian restaurant in Halle!"

Very Nice restaurant. Very Nice people that work here. They are great with children. The food is very nice and we came back the next day because our son 9 years old requested it.

Visited this restaurant based upon trip advisor reviews. Arrived after 10pm and a long journey and found the place to be charming and atmospheric with friendly staff and delicious pizzas. Top quality Italian restaurant, full marks.

I had been here before but couldn’t remember the name. When I looked for a good Italian restaurant to have dinner on the day of my arrival in Halle Tripadvisor indicated Salvatore with the highest score. I was not disappointed. I had Pennette di Bosco. The spaghetti were right to the point and the porcine gave a fine taste. As dessert I had Profiteroles which fulfilled my expectations.

I chose this restaurant as I like Italian food and the location was good. I ordered pasta (mediocre) and a glass of prosecco, The prosecco was flat and the glass very small. When I went to pay, I was very cross to see 3 glasses of sparkling prosecco had been poured for other diners that were at least half as full again as the glass I received. I wondered if this was the price of being a woman eating there alone!

Where do you dine in Halle on a Sunday evening when nearly everything is closed? Judging by the bustling crowd, one of the answers is obviously this restaurant! But it turned out to be an excellent choice. The menu was a good mix of modern and traditional Italian classics. We had antipasti for three, and a pizza, risotto and a salad, followed by tiramisu, washed down with a bottle of Italian red. All very good, authentically Italian, well presented and efficiently served, despite the Restaurant being completely full. Cheerful Italian decor, without being corny, and a good atmosphere. Somehow, wherever you are in Europe, one can always make time to visit a good authentic Italian restaurant. A...

Fortunately, the local friend who introduced us to this congenial restaurant knew to order two interesting appetizers hot olives with hot peppers and sauteed zucchini with a slice of Parma ham as appetizers for our table, so that we could enjoy them with crusty bread while we chose from the extensive menu. In addition to the expected fish, chicken, beef and pork, there seafood, lamb and duck figured prominently. I ordered the spaghetti with duck, my husband chose spaghetti with prawns, one friend had the salmon salad and another the special of the day, sea bream with asparagus and potatoes. Everything was tasty, but the pasta dishes were long on spaghetti and a bit skimpy on duck and shrimp....

Drawn in by the satisfied looking crowd and a friendly Italian waiter on a Friday night. Authentic Italian service and good Italian food and wine. I had scampi five which came with spinach €21.90). They were well cooked but it needed potatoes, a bit of pasta or some bread to make it a satisfying meal. Luckily I wasn’t too hungry. My husband had a steak €19.90) which came with various mushrooms, green beans and roast potatoes. All very tasty but quite pricy. The wine was also very good. We were left with a sour taste though at the end when the waiter and we’d had two waiters during the time we were there) became very pushy about us giving him a tip. In fact, he demanded a tip. Very unprofessi...

"we have been in the sakura sushibar in hall several times. immediately after the opening and then at irregular intervals. The restaurant is modern furnished. you can sit on high tables and normal tables. who has pleasure can sit directly on the bar and watch how the food is prepared and serve at the same time while running sushi. at the weekend you should always reserve a table, as the restaurant is very full. online reservation works smoothly. There is a very large selection of appetizers and main dishes, a large part of them are sushi and fish dishes, but also meat dishes are available. the quality of the food is very good, everything is freshly prepared and it tastes very delicious. this is also reflected in the price, eating is somewhat more expensive compared to other sushi bars / restaurants. the personal acts partially overwhelmed, not coordinated and thus sometimes comes a little unfriendly. we waited several minutes at the beginning for our menus after we got them, we had to wait several minutes again until we could give up our drinks and eating order. We were sitting there with empty glasses, and we had to make ourselves noticeable. This should not be at a restaurant in this price class! But everyone should be judged by it. eating is very tasty. already from this reason we will come back and if the service improves somewhat, then the sakura sushibar is worth visiting on all cases!"
