Osteria Ferrioli has a good name for his meats! From different beefs to kudu, the choice is great! Fresh from the grill with some potatoes and vegetables, a nice glass of wine and the Ticinese Air! What do you want more! If you go there, I recommend the risotto with fois gras as appetizer!

If you love meat, a friendly atmosphere and a good Swiss and Italian red wine selection, Ferriroli is the place to go. Antonio manages the grill - which includes delicacies like fasona piemontese and chianina - and Patricia keeps a tight control on the tables. Take the apero outside, look @ the view and give your tastebuds free rein!

A friend recommended it as the best place for steak in the area. Very good indeed. We had a black angus and a chianina, both excellent quality. Friendly service. Place is very isolated, you will have to drive all the way up on a mountain road (watch out: the way to the restaurant from locarno is closed till december 2015) but it is worth! View menu

A visit at the Osteria is always great. You have to try some classic specialities like the Risotto (which is one of the best I ever had!) and you have to order the meat platter. You will get to taste deer, bison, beef, veal, horse, austrich and many more. Everything is broiled on the grill and really tasty. Under the Pergola of vines you will love the ambiance and the place. The wine list is also good.

This is the very best place in the Ticino to eat meat. If you are a vegetarian then do not even think about going here. There is is an excellent selection of wines from the cellar. You can chose from the best beef, pork, lamb or one of the many different types of game and every entree is accompanied by huge portions of mixed salad, potatoes,and vegetables. The foie gras risotto is wonderful as is desert, but we hardly ever have room for it at the end of the meal. This has been one of our top choices in the region for 15 years

During our trip we have visited this family restaurant located high up the mountains. It was the first time we visited this kind of restaurant. The weather was perfect and they placed everybody outside so we have the chance to admire beautifull landscales. The staff was absolutely friendly. We chose the mix of different grilled meats. The idea of this restaurant is that you choose the hot dish and besides they serve standard appetisires, salades etc. The main dish is meat of all kinds cooked on open fire.
