"Lovely location, yummy selection of gorgeous cakes and a nice stroll along the river to walk them off. (The savoury foods being served did look really good too! A gorgeous sunny day so busy, but the service was as quick and efficient as it could be in the circumstances. Certainly worth a visit. My only thought was that as it was such a warm day, albeit fairly early in the season (weekend before Easter it was a pity the barge couldn't have been put into action quickly or at short notice for trips up the river as I think it would have been very popular and potentially lucrative too!"

Lovely walk along the canal. We stopped at the tearoom for a lovely mug of tea and a bacon roll. Would recommend

Lovely peaceful walk. Cyclists could be bit more considerate. And please pick up after your dogs and use appropriate bins. Thank you

Beautiful location very reasonably priced lunch cheese was falling out of the sandwich no scrimping there. A little bit of parking at the back of the tearooms for customers only and everyone else on the road where there is a couple of kerbs you can tuck yourself onto.

Love this little cafe and the location. Staff always friendly, tables cleaned regularly and food always delicious and timely. May be a little pricier than other sandwich places, but worth it for the prettiest views. Ice-cream pretty good too!! Dogs welcomed. Main lock car park payable £5. View menu

Been several times, fantastic spot, full working lock, free parking for customers, or you can park next door all day for a fee. Simple food made well, excellent cakes and a cream tea, reasonably priced so easy to spend 2 hours here. Cream Tea, Coffee, large slice of cake, and a very well filled toasted ham/cheese sandwich, £21.

Lovely tearoom in the perfect location. Staff were very friendly and always smiling! Good selection of food and drink. Very reasonable prices. They were quick and polite even though they were extremely busy. Definitely recommend for a walk alongside the river. Toilets immaculate. Only downside was limited free parking but £5 a day parking up the road.

The premises are clean and the produce is all fresh, it is an ideal place to rest for tea and cake etc. It would be nice is there was a few more Sun parasols especially when the sun is full blare. The staff were friendly, quick and efficient, just one moan the young lady serving needs to try and smile a bit more, she reminded me of a RSM on the parade ground very firm. View menu

Even on a rainy autumn day, the welcoming staff and picturesque setting of Paper Mill Lock Tearooms can uplift your spirits. The sandwiches are incredibly tasty and come in a wide variety of options. The desserts are absolutely heavenly. I am definitely planning to return to try everything on the menu! Bring your friends along, as there are so many delicious options that you'll want to share the experience with others!

Just popped in by chance as usually very busy, but it was just right being a Thursday. Had a lovely cheese ploughman’s much with loads of cheese,in fact far too much I had to take most of it home, I just wish there had been a bit more bread with so much cheese, but I really enjoyed it and wld go back for more. My son and hubby had toasties and hubby had a cream tea too. There were so many cakes to choose from too but that ploughman’s left me kicking and was just enough. Can’t wait to go again x
