"Staff and service were excellent. The Snowman afternoon tea was lovely, and the food was wonderful. It was a shame not to get a snowman cake each but after we asked for an extra one the staff obliged and gave us one. The pianist was brilliant. The only let down was other guests using the restaurant and toilet facilities, but the venue can’t help this and they dealt with poor behaving guests quickly, professionally and very well. Would definitely recommend this afternoon tea, one of the best I have had."

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. The staff explained all the cake options, checked for allergies, and were very accommodating of our additional requests.

The place was elegant. They have someone to play piano. The afternoon tea set is average. The sandwich is nice. The dessert is more for decoration. The service was slow. The person who was taking care of our table promised to refill the teapot but never came back. We barely got any refill maybe that's too much to ask.

I have dined in many restaurants for Afternoon Tea but I can honestly say this was the best. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great but the service made the experience 5 star. I don’t usually write reviews but I had this for this as I came away thinking everyone needs to try this!

The staff were very attentive, accommodating and very, very friendly. The flavours in the food were good and there were a good selection of jams. However, the bread for the sandwiches tasted quite stale and the vegan options did not match what was written in the menu. I feel the price and service charge were over priced for what we received. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the pianist was a lovely addition to the whole experience. The festive afternoon tea was gorgeous and attention to detail was incredible on the snowman characters. My only negative was staff were a little slow to bring things when we asked eg more tea or even just hot water it sat on counter for quite some time before being brought to us.

There are many very fine places in London to enjoy afternoon tea and this was our first trip to the Grosvenor in Park Lane. There was something very special and, to be honest, 'Christmassy ' about the whole experience. In truth, it was excellent. The service was peerless, the ambience perfect and the 'snowman theme ' very well done and the attention to detail was splendid. Thoroughly recommended.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
