"before patisserie madeleine became popular in edinburgh, there was patisserie madeleine. it was recommended by a French friend who knew about my dear macarons and I wanted to visit immediately when I belonged to the terrace. it is a small caffe, but their cake and macaron selection are extensive. the makkarone are freshly produced between one day and the next, so they do not always find the same aromes. they can choose between the more popular mango, chocolate and vanilla aromas or more exotic such as praline, rose, pistachios and passion fruit. to give them an idea of how much I love their macarons, on my birthday I asked the oh to get me a dozen sprinkle macarons and I have sworn them a lot...read more"

I love having afternoon tea with a friend here and enjoying a unique selection of macaroons and other French delicacies. Their coffee is good too.

For the dessert portion of a review challenge, it seems only suiting that I update the spot that has singlehandedly expanded my waistline this past year

One of the best patissseries I have found in Edinburgh. Brilliant French pastries and amazing macaroons! Loose tea, coffee, hot chocolate to compliment your pastries. Friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere all around with perfect romantic french music! View menu

Cute little French patisserie at the heart of Stockbridge in Edinburgh. Their selection of macaroons is endless... but if these delicacy is not your cup of tea do not fret, their selection of french pastries and cakes is equally amazing. I had a raspberry and chocolate moilleux and it was just perfect. On top of that, they have lots of teas and coffees to chose from... Heaven on Earth.

this is one of my favorite places to get macarons in edinburgh. no, where otherwise the price, the size and the rich and the originality of their aromes are compared. special favorites are their tees matcha and sencha praline and salted caramel. her chef is an absolute culinary shimmer. they also have a nice selection of larger patisseries that have not been tried yet, but I intend very soon!

I swore of pierre hermes eclectic aromen and ladurees classic mascarons and was convinced that no one could beat them completely. this small terrace series inspired me with their choice and quality (and great value! macarons. the other patisserie offers were also delectable. pity about the easy grim service we received, perhaps because it was a particularly annoying day and the place was very busy. I would have given them five. View menu

patisserie madeline is a rather strange small French terrace in raeburn. it sells a small selection to sweet baked, with the French macaroon being the hardest motiw among the dressed. it also has a selection of coffee and tees. its decor is elegant and feminine in design, but has a very Ikea-esq feeling. it seems to run only from a dame that both makes the counter and makes the coffee. my friend and I were the only ones who decided to sit down, but while we were there, some people came in to buy desserts to take away. we ordered two coffees and one baked. my was a celestial maccaroon concoction filled with celestial cream and fresh whole celestial, the...read more
