"Our cruise stopped in Strasbourg and we wanted German food for dinner. Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we selected Pflug. It's about a minute taxi ride from the river to the restaurant, but the taxi driver gave us his card and came back for us....We enjoyed local beer, wine, Ruchenschnitzel with salad and vegetables, and crème brulee. Every dish was delicious, the beer was cold, and the service was personal and friendly. Along the walls were numerous awards and certificates detailing the chef's schooling and achievements. The food was certainly a testimony to that. If you're an American looking for authentic German food in an ideal atmosphere, Pfulg is for you"

Perfect meal for perfect price. Try the liver "bayerische Art"! We also stayed at this place. The rooms are low profile, but good value for the money

I would have to say that this restaurant was close to being the best Restaurant we visited when in Baden-Wurttemburg area. It rained on the evening we visited, without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. The food was superb! Service friendly and efficient. The interior...was a little bit drab. Well worth a visit

We took my boyfriend‘s granny out for lunch. After reading various reviews on restaurants in this area, we decided to go to Pflug. We had lamb and veal and everybody was very happy with what was ordered. Starters, main course, dessert and drinks for three...people we were surprised about the reasonable price. I recommend the friendly service at Pflug especially. The lovely waitress is very attentive View menu

I just ate here for the fourth time in as many months. The food, as always, was great, and at a reasonable price. However, the service was TERRIBLE. It is too large an establishment to get by with only three waitresses. They should hire a...busboy (someone who takes away dirty dishes) or an assistant waiter to ask if you want another drink/water, even if only for the weekend crowd. It took to have a midday meal, and while I like a liesurely meal, more than two hours is far too long. Otherwise, I would have given it stars

We traveled to Kehl from Strasbourg just so we could say we went to Germany for lunch. And, did we luck out. The food at Pflug Neumuehl was absolutely delicious. It was our favorite meal since visiting the Alsace region. The family who runs the...place was so accommodating (we arrived just as they were starting to close and they still fed us) and they helped us coordinate travel back to Strasbourg (even giving us some tips to save money). The portion sizes were huge and they sent us with lots of leftovers. It felt like eating in someones home. We highly recommend

"one of the main reasons why we decided to make a detour by strasburg during our visit to paris was this restaurant. The photos of the critics made us dirty. Unfortunately, this place was not up to the media thrashing. some of the problems arise from our ignorance of obtaining reservations and ordering the wrong article. However, these are minor grievances that we could forget if food was memorable. It wasn't. I'm sure there is a way to get good food here, but our overall experience has been really poor and in comparison, we had such good vegan food in places on which we fell during our stay in the area. the staff was very kind, but they were overworked and could not be attentive. It was very difficult to have water or service because there were not enough personnel. We would also have wished that the staff cautioned against ordering certain foods, because the items made repeated appearances between our aperitives and our dinners. I ordered a gourmet salad, I think in part because it is advertised as a vegan cheese. cheese was good, but overall, the salad was not very tasty and was incredibly overdressed. what made it especially unmangeable was a vinaigrette too sweet. pecan nuts were a good idea. Unfortunately, the salad appeared on our two plates! the absence of an English menu meant that we had ordered by mistake the soup as an aperitif. It was okay, but not what we expected. I ordered a chocolate mousse for dinner, it was good, but not incredible. There were a lot of cakes my husband was happy to try and had less eaten to save room for dessert. Here's where we met another problem. almost all the cakes and desserts contained alcohol. My husband doesn't drink. There were no small breads that we saw endless images online. Not that it was the fault of the restaurant, but it didn't help us get hungry, we didn't think we needed to get a reservation and airplanes worked 40 minutes to get there. If the food had been in first order, I would have mocked it. The restaurant is not close to the city centre, but closer to the university. We had to wait for more than an hour to be seated. If the weather was hot, it wasn't serious, but it was in the 1930s. So if you really want to go, book it! If you need a shelter waiting for this restaurant, we dragged into the lobby of a nearby bank. totally lame, but totally hot. While we were waiting to sit down, we have travelled all the refrigerated foods and the dishes to take away. We were delighted to have a lot of food to take away because we were going to be on tour the next day and we were back to betting the next day. After our disappointing meal, we chose to have only 2 pre-packed sandwiches to take away. they had nothing special - and could have used vinaigrette or mayonnaise because they were quite dry. But they were practical!"
