Pieminister @ The Cannon

this is the second visit of the pier minister. my ass as the cake. only the problem is they're cold. they hear them home. my son likes her cold .so it's not a problem.

I recently visited The Rande at Borough Market and was impressed by their unique selection of handcrafted traditional cakes. The Mowbray cake in particular was stunning.

The cakes, whether vegetarian or meaty, are fantastic and never fail to disappoint. A visit here is definitely worth it, even if they are located on the other side of town. View menu

Hands down the best pie and mash I have ever eaten and that’s saying something as I’m northern so love pie, peas and gravy! Highly recommend the Moo Mothership, it was pie heaven and the gravy was delicious!

Pies are tasty, the crunchiness of the dough is just perfect. Wide variety for all diets, both me and my brother liked them. I'd pay pounds more for seconds in the microwave, they surely taste even better if they're not refrigerated. :

Not really into meat pies but when in the UK, you must have some pies. We tried the traditional braised beef in ale pie. We took it to go so we didn’t get to try the one w gravy, mash and peas. I chose the free-range chicken and Portobello/Chestnut mushroom cake. It was not a problem that it took a little while to be served, but once it arrived, it was delicious. The dish was perfectly baked and filled with flavors, making it a great option for a Christmas specialty. If I find myself in London's Borough Market again in December, I will definitely be back for more.

We specifically went searching for Pieminister during our final day of a trip to London. Located in the amazing Borough Market, we almost walked right by the stall they were set up in. Prices were fair for the portion, so if you're looking for something...to stick to your stomach for about pounds then this place is for you. I also imagine that they travel pretty well. However, while we planned to get for immediate consumption and more for the road we decided not to get the additional The pies weren't bad, they just were... that's it. They just were. Neither good nor bad. In fact, while I can tell you that we had two different pies I cannot remember which ones we got. They were that memorable...

Up the back of the mayhem that is Borough Markets you should be able to find the Pieminister' stall. If at first you don't find it ... keep looking ... I grew up in Engerland and now live in Oz' and pies' are very much...part of my heritage ... and diet! So ... take my word for it ... these are the BEST pies you will probably ever consume. The pies all have thoughtful' names ... there's a pie called Kevin', one named Heidi' ... and the more obvious Kate and Sidney'. (OK ... Kevin' is mushroom, tomato, red wine baby onions and thyme ...
