"Very friendly staff and fast service. Expensive drinks: we ordered two Kids Royals (royaux... , which I was surprised to find ended up costing 10€ a pop in a small neighborhood restaurant in Boulogne. The food menu is small and traditional but looked savory. For appetizers we ordered a warm cheese in honey crust, which was good without any surprise, and a petite friture, for which I had great hopes but which turned out disappointing: a bit fishy with a strangely bitter aftertaste (we could not finish it . For entrees we ordered steak tartare and onglee steak with fries. The tartare was well executed but lacked a sharp bite: it felt bland. The onglee steak, served saignant, was cooked just as it needed to be. The cream and pepper sauce was sharp and rich. The fries that both dishes came with were a slight bit overdone, yet still OK. We were left with a feeling of overall disappointment we probably expected too much :"

The kitchen is simple but good. The waitress particularly friendly and responsive. On the other hand, they didn't have a beer while I called upstream of the reservation to check that they were good.

Small street restaurant with terrace on the sidewalk, but the welcome is so pleasant that we forget the cars that pass! I think I've never received so many smiles and kindness from a waitress that night. As for the kitchen, the dishes are good and fresh.
