"Visited Pomodo for dinner with my family on Monday 6 August. We arrived at approximately 9pm and were quickly greeted and seated. Pomodo was a clean, well staffed and a well decorated restaurant it was approximately one third full (due to it being a Monday night). The menu was extensive with a vast number of meal options available (inclusive of Vegan) to suit almost any palette. English menus were also made available which made the meal selection process a lot easier. Meal prices across the menu were reasonable and on par with surrounding restaurants. We quickly placed our order as our children were quite hungry. The order was simple: three drinks, a margherita, a basic tomato based pasta, a rustic chicken dish and veal fillets in a white wine sauce. The drinks arrived almost immediately. However, after waiting for approximately 25 minutes for the meals, I gestured to the waiter whom advised that they were on the way he then brought us some table bread. After another 5 or so minutes the meals finally arrived. Every meal we received was quite flavorsome and fresh; serving sizes were acceptable. The only disappointment was the veal, which was quite tough; however the flavor was exceptional. Personally I could not finish the veal due to it’s texture and ended up finishing the remainder of my child’s pasta (which was exceptional). On another note, the only proactive service we received from the wait staff was: the initial greeting/seating, taking the order, drink/meal delivery and the removal of plates. All other contact was initiated by myself. Personally I would have liked more attentiveness and to have had someone check in to assess if we needed anything else or to enquire about our meals. I will probably visit Pomodo again before I depart Agropoli to give them another try. I do hope that this was an “out of the ordinary” experience as I do feel that this restaurant probably does deserve 5 stars however in this instance it would have been inappropriate for me to award 5 stars."

I prodotti sono anche ottimi ma le attese sono lunghe con il locale vuoto non voglio immaginare quando è pieno. Non so se tornare

Friendly staff, fast service und really great food (best pizza we had in our Campagna trip). Honestly I cannot support on the weak ratings on price and service as it was simply great!! €5 for a pizza is a real good value and neither €€ nor €€€ for us a clear €!! Go there and enjoy

The food was fine and very reasonable. The mozzarella, prosciutto and melon salad was good not great and the two pizzas we ordered were fine, but without too much taste. With a liter of wine lunch was only 27 euros- super reasonable, but unfortunately there has to be better in the area.

Superb. Loved the location on the Palazzo, but the pizza was just superb. The Birra and the service is 'exceptional ' and we shall return for another visit, or 2,3,4, or 10 next Summer. Fond memories of a lovely Bar/Restaurant in a most delightful and pleasant location. Lovely family too. 10/10 Thomas, Glasgow, Scotland.

My wife and I eat here as from the outside it looks quite modern. It was early in the evening so was very quiet but thought that would improve the service. The staff made no effort at all to engage with us. The food took a long time and the quality wasn’t brilliant. The wine was ok and good value for money. Wouldn’t recommend it.

We were hot from a long walk in the heat when we entered and were immediately greeted by Carmine, our waiter. He was friendly and spoke to us in excellent English, which made us feel relaxed and right at home even though we’d never been here before. We have stringent dietary restrictions so we asked for a pizza with toppings not on the menu, and a salad also not on the menu. “No problem” said Carmine. And an excellent pizza and salad were delivered promptly…one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Italy, in the six trips we’ve made there over the years. A very pleasant experience. We plan to return for every midday meal of our stay in Agropoli.

We were in Agropoli for New Year and a lot of the restaurants were closed. Il Pomodo was open and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. On the first evening my wife and I both had salads to start followed by grilled chicken breast for my wife and a pizza for me. The salads were simple but ok, while my pizza was pretty good. The chicken breast was really well cooked (not dry) and seasoned. Sadly enough it was one of the best things we ate in 10 days around Napoli. So we went again the next day and I had a salmon and walnut pasta dish which was full of flavour followed by grilled veal which was tough and almost inedible. In contrast my wife had a milanese cutlet which was delicious....

"What a find! This is the type of “quick and easy” dining experience you want when on a holiday. Very much resembles a comfortable, friendly take away shop you’d frequent in your own home town. The menu is substantial and covers a lot of options for all tastes. They also have a few additional items available as daily specials (which seem to sell out quickly). We ordered what we thought would be just enough to satisfy a family of four; however I soon realised that I had significantly underestimated the serving sizes which were substantial for the price paid. We wanted to finish all that we ordered, however we just couldn't squeeze another bite in. PiadinAmi’s take on a Chicken Kebab was different (served in a piadina flat bread), but it worked extremely well. Everything we ordered was fresh and carried a lot of great flavour. Even the fried items were not heavy and tasted as if they were fried in freshly changed oil. In speaking to the staff, they told me that everything is prepared and made daily inclusive of the piadina and pizza dough; this is exceptional considering it is not a high end reataurant. The shop seems to be loved by locals too as it was consistently busy whilst we were there. I’ve been told that most nights all their food sells out which is definitely a positive sign of a good locale. We sat in their small covered garden/terrace area which is adjacent to the shop. It was a pleasant, well lit environment perfect for that type of meal. We were extremely happy with our experience at PiadinAmi and will definitley visit again before we leave Agropoli. If I could, I would give an extra star for the exceptional quality of PiadinAmi’s food for the service and price paid!"
