"We went to Anicia 39 because a friend of mine lives in Palestrina and knows the area pretty well. Anicia 39 is located on the main street, but from the outside it unfortunately looks more like a local coffee bar then a restaurant. The seating area is hidden away upstairs and beautifully decorated. But what counts is the food they served, and it was really delicious. As starters we shared bruschetta moscardini (baby octopus), a beautiful cheese plate with chutneys and delicious local honey, and Crocchette di ceci salsiccia e zafferano (Chickpea croquettes with sausage and saffron). For the main we had the Tagliata Porcini (sliced meat with mushrooms which was my faviourite), Grigliata Mista (mixed grill) and the Tagliata Robespierre, ginepro e rosmarino (sliced meat with juniper and rosemary) and to finish it all off a nice and fresh pineapple with Amaretto and pana cotta yummy!!! The prices are very descent and the service comes not only with a smile, but also with allot of attention to detail. This is a great place to enjoy some lovely local food."

Followed the recommendation of the hotel owner and the other reviewers but actually found it hard to beleive that an excellent would describe the place. It was nice, the wine we chose was good, the prices are very fair but the service is medium and the food is just above medium. Very medium pizza and bad coffee which is hard to get in Italy. So do try among the cheap and dissent places.

We went for dinner one night in August. Unfortunately there were no more places available on the terrace so we ate inside with the airconditioning on(? . It was really hot and we were all uncomfortable. The pizza was ok but we couldn't enjoy it because it was so hot inside the restaurant. We left asap in search of a place for an ice cream. In the summer, only eat here if you get a place on the terrace.

This is quite a hidden restaurant. When you enter it seems like a bar but then after you will seat you will discover soon a fantastic and warm service. Then everything is delicious. Try the starters: salami, ham, cheese ... simply great products!!! Then try the meat (Tagliata) ... you will eat one of the best meat you have ever ate. That's the quintessence of meat. So as a summary: amazing food amazing service. And good price too. Thanks so much ... we had a fantastic dinner!

"This restaurant can be found off the Corso Vittorio Emannuele with an drive up from the road and up to the restaurant car park with plenty of parking spaces. At the doorway to the restaurant we were met by a receptionist who the led us to a lift which took us up to the first floor where the restaurant is located where we were greeted by a pleasant waiter who after a short period of time found us a table for 6 people. At the time the restaurant was full and we were shown to an upstairs dining area with just two other tables occupied. The service was very attentive, if a little too quick when asking if we had chosen from the very extensive menu. The wine was excellent and we ordered a bottle of the local red wine and a bottle of local white, both reasonably priced at around €18 whilst we considered the menu we ate bruschetta with fresh tomatoes. We decided, as a table to start with cold Italian meats which were served to share, then went for the house speciality which when translated is pasta to the form. This is a speciality of the house which is a spaghetti made with fresh tomatoes, bacon and cream served from a pecorino round. This was delicious and highly recommended. For the main I chose the grilled Tuna stake, which for me was a little over as I like it pink in the middle, but still excellent, served with vegetables of the day. Overall this is an excellent restaurant which is welcoming of both adults and children. Although this restaurant is not a cheap meal out it is still good value and I would recommend it for an evening out with friends and family."
