"When visiting Dusseldorf we like to return again and again to this familyowned Italian restaurant. In fact, my husband first visited them almost years ago, and after a big break he found them again. The food is just delicious, especially the meat dishes: calf´s...liver, lamb chops, veal schnitzel. And they have an excellent selection of high quality Italian wines not cheap though. The service is very personable and friendly, the waiters recognize and greet us warmly and support a small talk with us. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. There is soft live music on some evenings. A very nice place for a romantic or business dinner"

The fish was tasteless, seemed microwaved. We were a big group and had to wait literally hour and ten minutes for our food. Didn’t even get an apology

we were not disappointed by the choice of this restaurant. recommend excellent antipasti buffet. the homemade pasta is excellent, attentive service and a fair price.

Center of the city! Clean, comfortable, quiet and cosy space. Extensive menu dishes and drinks, mostly Italian specialities, moderate and acceptable prices, kind staff if you like, they understand Italian. Open from noon tot

We got a table without a reservation on a Saturday evening. We were standing by the bar for half an hour before getting a table. The food and wine was reasonable priced. An OK restaurant, but because guests coming all the time, waiting for a...table, everybody seemed to be stressed. But all in all, Portofino can be recommended

Nice atmosphere and decor. Some waiters were polite and friendly, while others looked like they just wanted to go home. My pizza was very tasty but the lasagne was cold and when they took it back it was gone for about minutes. They didn't...apologise but did offer free coffee at the end which was something. Reasonable prices for tasty food

If you like Italian food and travel to Dusseldorf, then Ristorante Portofino is a very good option to taste Italian high quality food at a very nice environment and pay good price. I tried Spaghetti with Tomato sauce with Italian wine and enjoyed the food....You will also enjoy Italian kind staff with wonderful advice to chose your food. The location of the restaurant is great, in city center, less than minutes walk to shopping area. I will go to the restaurant again when I am in Dusseldorf

I had the vegetarian pizza. Crust was half raw, vegetables on top they were cut in chunks, and it had pieces of carrot on top of the pizza. It was uneatable. The staff were beyond rude, they were serving without any manners and at the...end of the meal they invited us to leave the terrace in order to tidy everything up even it was minutes to the closing time. The dishes were not cleaned properly. I strongly recommend not to visit this restaurant, there are many pizzerias in Dusseldorf that are better than this one

Of course this is an oppinion based on one single experience, but I was not impressed by this restaurant. We asked for bruschettas, and it was ok.A bit flavourless, but ok. I asked for a calzonne, and it was a bit poor inside. It could...have some more elements to make it better. I know that, being portuguese, i am used with food full of flavour, but this was a bit poor. A bit far away from the real italian gastronomy. I passed the coffee in the end. for an expresso is an abuse. In my country, we pay for this. Disapointed
