"We came across this restaurant whilst walking around the city. It has a pleasant and inviting look to it. However, as soon as you sit down the first thing that hits you is the over inflated prices. My partner asked for a glass of wine which lasted a couple of mouth fulls whilst I had a decent glass poured. We asked for a particular dish but were convinced by the waiter that we should order the Solomillo. I agreed to this under the impression that this would be a better dish... What came was what they allegedly stated was a 300g Solomillo steak (I would dispute it 's weight) with chips...nothing else. The steak was sliced to make it look bigger and half the plate with chips. Whilst I cannot dispute that the meat was good it lasted only a few minutes. I refused to stay for dessert! I paid over €70 for a octopus starter (which was not tender and a small portion), 3 glasses of wine and 2 Solomillos. I informed the waiter that whilst the meat was nice we would not be returning to this restaurant which was quickly followed by a statement to the effect of Have you ever eaten Solomillo before to which I was shocked as the answer was yes! many times! If you do not want to be overcharged then I do not recommend this restaurant at all."

Food was standard quality, service tries to trick you into buying extras and is quite arrogant View menu

We were looking for some traditional Spanish crusine while docked in La Coruna for a day. Even though seafood paella was not on the menu the restaurant made it for us and it was The best I have ever had: huge king prawns, mussels, razor clams full of flavour! We had potato with octopus on a side as well which we also enjoyed! Highly recommended. View menu

Visited here while on a cruise stop. The cafe/restuarant has tables out side on a pedestrian street. The man in charge allowed us to sit outside but I did notice he discouraged others to do so asking them to go inside. I think the idea was to make it look as if they had capacity. I speak spanish but for whatever reason this man insisted on speaking English he asked did we like mushrooms the proceeded to bring mussels! The food was good enough but the price was high for a tapas selection. On receiving my change I was 10 Euros short Hmmmm!

I had a similar experience as described oscar gallego below. I pay 26 eur for a glass albariño and a part of pimientos. my first idea was a glass wein and algo para picotear. Of course, the waiter was fast enough to offer me a part of the canzel. he assured me it would not be so big and enough for a person. I understand, of course, that the price of pulpino is not cheap, but if I said it was 26 eur at the end, I would not have gone to the place. who would that? there are so many nice restaurants with menu del dia for eur 8-12, silly to end at this place.

"A Coruña never disappoints when it comes to food. URO Rest and Club ambiance is impeccable. From the lighting, to the decors, the furnishings, and the background music. It's like a piece of heaven. I can imagine myself dining here after a whole day of work. It would be a great relief.  The restaurant was a bit crowded when I dine but it didn't affect my experience at all. I feel that people come to URO to spend time with friends or loved ones, talk about good things while enjoying the great ambiance and sumptuous meal. Though it was crowded, the staff were very attentive to everyone. They are very organized and I can see a smile on their faces which is great  : The guy who assisted me is very good in english. He was extremely helpful and made sure that my dining experience was pleasant. I highly appreciate it.  About the food, the food ranges are remarkable,  interesting and in my opinion very different from what is normally offered in other restaurants. I find it very inventive in a great way. It appears traditional but there is a touch of the modern times. If you are a food enthusiast looking to try something extraordinary, this is definitely the restaurant for you. I ordered the avocado with tuna ceviche, black paella, and for dessert, cheese cake and cappuccino. All the food I ordered was amazing. The avocado with tuna ceviche is my favorite. It reminds me a lot of my childhood. I didn't imagine that avocado and tuna would be good together but it does, it was perfect. I came to Spain hoping to try black paella. This was my second black paella on this trip and this one from URO definitely is the best. It has a sweet white side dressing which fits well with the black rice and the seafood that comes with it was cooked perfectly. The cheesecake was delectable, just the right amount of sweetness in your palate. I admit the price was higher than usual but I have no regret, it was all worth it.  I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely come back to try other meals they offer. "
