"The ease and simplicity to find a spot to eat at a table as a single business traveller, who can hardly order a coffee in French was amazing. My first evening in town started with me not having a reservation at one of the restaurants. On entering I noticed the reserved signs everywhere, the lady answered me in English with such hospitality I have experienced in a long time. Of course the reservation was not a problem, I was assured, got a single high chair at the head of a type bar table for 6 8 others and was brought a menu on a blackboard, explained by the young service person in a combination of French, English, and waving her hands about. I placed an order for one of the most delicious dishes I’d tasted in a language combination similar to hers. One word only: extraordinary! During my 4 days’ stay, I had coffee there twice, dinner twice. See you next time! @artferdinand @lgbtx.space"

"Having decided to break our car journey through France in Ambert, this hotel/restaurant prove to be a good choice. Our first-floor room was small but acceptable for an overnight stay. The en suite bathroom, actually a shower, was even smaller but it gleamed with excellent furnishings. The room overlooked a main route through the town but efficient double-glazing reduced road noise to less than a whisper. Fortunately, road was quiet during the night because we like to sleep with windows open but the traffic re-started early the following morning. This suited us because we wanted to make an early start but others may wish to ask for a room at the back. The hotel restaurant is a delightful conservatory-like addition overlooking the rear garden where we had a very enjoyable dinner. All of the staff were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful."

"Everything is perfect, Extremely good and perfect portions for a more than reasonable price..... quick service by charming young women and at our listening in a super nice restaurant.... don't hesitate to make yourself regret that we have: we live a little far! What a shame!"

"We had not taken the time to read the comments of the guests of this restaurant before going and badly took us. At the reception no hello, we already feel that we disturb when we arrive. Wait 1 hour before being served and of course no excuse. Flats badly presented, tasteless, hard meat and not fresh, fries were cold. I only ate 20% of the dish so it was not appetizing. My brother was sick in the afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised that a veterinary control reveals non-conformities. Lack of total organization, a non-professional team that has no respect for the client. Just read the restorer's answers to the customers who had a bad experience to see them. Especially running away, it's a total scam, we really had the impression of being taken for C... I don't advise."
